When you're a celebrity, it goes without saying that you're good at some things. Maybe you're very good looking, maybe you're a great actor or a good singer, or you might even be a really good athlete. But that doesn't mean you're good at everything. For example, many ordinary people who are not famous at all are great drivers, while many people who are very famous are some of the worst drivers in the world. I mean, seriously - these guys are terrible. You might think they were trying to be bad drivers, but that doesn't make much sense.
What follows is a list of celebrities, all of whom are completely incapable of driving. Some of them just keep screwing up over and over, while others only get it wrong once but do it in such a way that there is no doubt that they are downright terrible when it comes to being behind the wheel. Here are 20 celebrities who can't drive at all.
20 Justin Bieber
Of all the absolutely terrible celebrity drivers, Justin Bieber is one of the worst. This makes sense because he is also terrible at many other things, such as being a good person. He has been in numerous accidents (including one just last year), has been seen speeding numerous times, and has even been arrested for drunk driving and resisting arrest. Once he even hit a member of the paparazzi with his car. Seriously, this guy behind the wheel is a threat. Is there a way to make it just leave and not come back? Justin, don't go crazy; just walk away and maybe you should be walking instead of driving when you do.
19 Michael Phelps
Michael Phelps is known for two things: (1) being one of the most talented swimmers in history and winning a whole bunch of Olympic medals, and (2) being drunk. In 2004, he pleaded guilty to drunk driving, underage drinking (he was 19 at the time), and not stopping at a stop sign. Then, a few years later, he had another accident when his license was suspended and he admitted to drinking before it happened. Hey Michael... from now on, why don't you make all your trips in the pool, because obviously the rest of us are not safe while you're driving.
18 Chris Brown
Chris Brown is lucky to be alive. A few years ago, he completely destroyed his Porsche when he crashed into a wall at high speed. Then, a few months later, he crashed into a car from behind and refused to communicate with the driver, resulting in him being charged with hit-and-run. This is the definition of a bad driver: you drive your car like an idiot and walk away from it; then, a few months later, you stab someone from behind and get hit and run for it. All I know is that if I see Chris Brown driving anytime soon, I'll just stop until he leaves. This dude is dangerous.
17 Amanda Bynes
There used to be a lot of things that Amanda Bynes couldn't do. For a while she was so crazy that she couldn't go a day without making a complete fool of herself. She was arrested for drunk driving and was also charged with two hit-and-runs, which led her to tweet to then President Obama, “Please fire the cop who arrested me. I don't hit or run either. End." What a garbage can fire Amanda was. She seems to be doing a lot better lately and we're all happy for her, but that doesn't mean she has to be behind the wheel anytime soon.
16 Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton is a spoiled rich girl who gets drunk all the time. Does that sound like someone who would be a good driver? Yes, I don't either. She was arrested for driving under the influence and with a suspended license, and for driving in a bike lane. In fact, she spent about 23 days in jail because she didn't drive well. She seems to have cooled down now and is trying to establish a reputation as a cultured rich chick, not the crazy one she used to be, but if I was hitchhiking and Paris stopped to pick me up, I would tell her I was all set to walk.
15 Cristianu Ronaldo
Ronaldo is known for many things, such as being a great footballer and looking very good. Another thing he's known for, though, is a ridiculously bad driver. At one point, he crashed his expensive sports car in the Manchester tunnel on his way to training. We all make mistakes, and for the most part, when someone has an accident and breaks their car, I feel sorry for them. But not when it's someone like Cristiano Ronaldo. He was driving a red Ferrari 599 GTB, which he owned for only two days. Come on, dude... pull yourself together. We know that you are good on the field, but be careful on the road!
14 Kelsey Grammer
Kelsey Grammer is well known as a train wreck, so it's no wonder he's on this list that includes car crashes. In 1996, he was driving his red Dodge Viper in California when he overturned it. I probably don't need to tell you that he was drunk at the time, and it's possible that he also took a lot of other things, as he's known to be a complete trash can when it comes to substances. He clearly survived and seems to be feeling much better lately. But still, when it comes to this list of celebrity bad drivers, there's no doubt that the Cheers and Frazier star should be included.
13 Eddie Griffin
Actor Eddie Griffin crashed a $1.5 million red Ferrari Enzo while preparing for a charity race to promote his film Redline. Griffin said, "The undercover brother is good at karate and everything else, but the brother can't drive." I was driving down the highway and went into a sharp turn, hit a cone and the cone got stuck under the tire. So the tire locked up and… hit the wall.” Good job, Eddie. At least you admitted that you are a terrible driver, unlike most of these celebrities. Too bad you didn't admit it before you wrecked the $1.5 million Ferrari, but you know... it's better not to wish for too much, I guess.
12 Nick Bollea
It's pretty obvious to anyone who's paying attention that Hulk Hogan's son Nick Bollea is a bit of a clown, so it's no surprise that he had an accident while racing his outfitted Toyota Supra, an accident that was serious enough for his passenger to have an accident. . hospital for two years. However, road racing is pretty fun. No one should ever do this. It's such a stupid thing to do, but it's amazing how many truly terrible drivers think they're good until they crash and hurt someone. Nick is one of those truly terrible drivers, and he's lucky his passenger didn't get hurt more. Nick, for yelling out loud, man... stay off the road!
11 George Lucas
Most of you know George Lucas from his roles in Star Wars and Indiana Jones. None of you know his racing abilities. In fact, at one point he was in a celebrity race and managed to crash in a pretty spectacular way. This is the type of bad celebrity driver that really annoys me. It's bad that these drivers get into accidents on the road all the time, but now they need to plan special events with other celebrities so they can crash and show the world what terrible drivers they are? Lucas may be a pro as a director, but as a driver he is a complete failure.
10 Lil Twist
Speaking of Justin Bieber and how he annoys me, I don't think I can think of a single person that annoys me more. Oh, except maybe his buddy Lil Twist, who might be an even worse driver than Bieber. At one point, he crashed Bieber's Fisker Karma outside a liquor store and then was arrested for drunk driving outside Bieber's house while driving the exact same car. What a complete idiot! I suppose, however, that if you go by the name "Lil Twist" and hang out with Justin Bieber all the time, the chances of you being smart are pretty low. In any case, this guy behind the wheel is a solid trash can.
9 Britney Spears
I know... maybe at some point we should all stop picking on Britney Spears so much. She's been through hard times, she's gone crazy, and now she's better. So, I'll stop laughing at her - right after that. First, she was stopped driving with a child on her lap, which looks ugly, and then she left the car unattended in the middle of the road after she had a flat tire. She was also arrested for hitting and driving without a valid license, and last but not least, she was twice accused of running over paparazzi's foot. I'm glad she's feeling better because obviously she used to be a real threat.
8 Nicole Richie
Speaking of someone better, how about Nicole Richie? Man, she used to be a total mess. How bad was it, you ask? Well, she was once arrested for improper driving on a California highway and charged with drunk driving. For all this, she spent a little over an hour in prison. Now we have to say that this is the definition of a bad driver. Drunk driving sucks, driving the wrong way down the highway just sucks, but doing both at the same time sucks so much it's unbelievable. Thank you from all of us for making amends, Nicole, because you were scary on the road.
7 George Michael
I know that George Michael passed away and it's a really sad thing as he was an incredibly talented musician and singer but he was also such a ridiculously bad driver that he needs to be put on this list. He was once convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and had his license revoked, which you might think might have helped him learn his lesson. But then, a few years later, he actually drove his Range Rover through a camera shop, for which he spent eight weeks in jail. You know you're a bad driver when you drive "through" the store, not "into" the store. Come on, George... that's just awful.
6 Maya Rudolph
Sometimes it's not that people are complete jerks. Sometimes they are just incredibly bad drivers. Take, for example, Maya Rudolph. Anyone who's seen her on Saturday Night Live can attest to the fact that she seems tough enough, but gosh... she can't drive at all. At some point, she drove into a whole bunch of garbage cans and knocked down a side mirror. We all make mistakes and we all do stupid things, but not all of us do it when TMZ is watching and for apparently no reason. There was no indication that she was drunk, but there are clear indications that she was a very poor driver. What a complete failure.
5 Halle Berry
Halle Berry is a very beautiful woman and a talented actress. Maybe that's why she gets away with being such a terrible driver. At some point, she crashed into a car in Los Angeles and drove off, and then pretended not to remember it. Because of the hit-and-run, she was sentenced to three years of probation and 200 hours of community service, as well as a $13,500 fine. She has also been involved in two other accidents over the years. You know, Halle, you're rich enough to hire a personal driver. Perhaps this is something you should consider - not only for your safety, but for everyone else.
4 JR Smith
JR Smith has been a successful basketball player for a long time. I say "was" because he plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers and these guys are terrible now! But I digress. Smith has been in several accidents, but one was so bad that Smith and his passenger were thrown out of the car and his passenger died. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, but was released after 24 days, which is not much for causing someone's death. I'm a big NBA fan and I didn't even know this happened. It's amazing that a person can cause someone's death, and then just go about their business, earning millions of dollars playing hoop.
3 Dwight Eubanks
While some of these drivers are dangerous, some are just plain stupid. I'm looking at you, Dwight Eubanks. What were you thinking? Somehow he managed to drive his car into the wet cement and it got stuck. Luckily, it was towed away before the cement hardened. There are so many things I want to know about it, like how the hell did this even happen. Is this real life or a cartoon of Wil E. Coyote and the Road Runner? Either way, at least Dwight isn't as terrible a driver as a lot of the people on this list - he's just dumb. Although, to be honest, I'm not sure which is worse.
2 Robin Givens
Robin Givens was once a very famous actress, but now most people remember her for being married to Mike Tyson, which makes her seem completely crazy these days. Wait a minute... that's how it was then. She ran over the leg of an 89-year-old pedestrian in Miami, Florida, which made her look like an idiot, but not nearly as much as her marriage to Mike Tyson made her look like an idiot. In any case, she was released without charge, perhaps because people felt very sorry for her, because she was so stupid that she married Mike Tyson. Either way, Robin Givens clearly can't drive.
1 Billy Joel
Billy Joel isn't the first guy that comes to mind when you think of someone who is a terrible driver, but you know what? He is completely. He has been in three major car accidents and once even crashed into a house. That's when you realize that a major intervention is needed. I personally know a person who drove into the house with his car, and I will never get into a car when she is driving. I guess anyone who hangs out with Billy Joel feels the same way. I hope he either pulled himself together or hired a personal driver, because while he may be a good singer, he fails as a driver.
