BMW 330d Coupe

This 330d Coupe is a great example. Base price: good 47 thousand rubles. Test price? About 65 thousand or almost half the cost of the base car markup. And this despite the fact that the list of standard equipment (contrary to popular belief) is not bad: all safety equipment, 17-inch alloy wheels, servotronic, bi-xenon headlights, dynamic brake lights (that is, their brightness depends on the severity of braking), sports multi-tasking steering wheel, air conditioning Pretty good recorder. . And yet there is so much more to add to all of this, it's just a question of how far you can go and want to "stretch."

The pure standard 300d coupe is a car that satisfies the driver without any additional equipment. In some places, maybe even better than a test with a surcharge. The M Sport Chassis, which is part of the M Sport Package (which adds four thousandths to the price), otherwise handles cornering well, thanks in part to the 19-inch wheels and low-profile tires. But at the same time, it's also quite unfriendly to those who don't like to jump over the pits that our roads are teeming with.

The 18-inch tires soften this up a bit, but what if 19-inch tires were included in the kit. Only after we installed a winter battery on the car, the situation improved a little - but at the same time, the car lost its directional stability, especially on the highway at high speeds. Obviously the M chassis and the 18" Bridgestone winter tires don't fit together, and it's highly likely that a different combination (perhaps a different tire model) will fix the problem.

Sports suspension is not a bad thing, many will say, and we agree. But why combine it with a diesel engine and an automatic transmission? Then consider (say) a 330i or 335i with a manual transmission (the latter has such a chassis as standard) and enjoy.

The ability to combine so many accessories also has its advantages. One of them is that you may also wish for combinations that may suit only you, but others find this counterintuitive. In any case, the 180-kilowatt engine and six-speed automatic transmission (which will cost you 245 euros) are well known, and the use of levers on the steering wheel designed to manually control the transmission (for only 2.400 euros). additional, but as it is written, a little here, a little there - and the final figure is interesting) is completely unnecessary. Soundproofing is also good (but not enough to hide the diesel in front), and consumption is also not bad.

Rear transparency isn't the best, so the fact that you have to pay extra for a parking system is highly undesirable. However, electric retraction of the front seats for access to the second row of seats is also discouraged as the system is too slow for day-to-day use. The seats are great, comfortable even on long journeys, and there is plenty of room in the back for young children.

But remember: don't buy a sports coupe like this trio because of the back seat. Buy them to enjoy the ride with them. Whether you start with 47k and load 335 more accessories, or start with (say) 335 more for the XNUMXi or XNUMXd and therefore ditch (say) the most expensive audio system, it's up to your personal priorities. As you love. If you choose the right one, you will not be disappointed, because from a purely technical point of view, this trio is difficult to outrage. But you just have to come to terms with prices. ...

evaluation

  • The BMW coupe trio can be desired in many versions, from comfortable travel to emo sports. The 330d test was a mixture of everything and therefore was sometimes too harsh, sometimes too soft. But its essence does not disappoint: a car built for the driver, with technology that gives a lot.
