Test Drive Bridgestone Unveils Latest Products and Solutions

Fleets today need products and services that are efficient, convenient and sustainable.

As the world's largest tire and rubber manufacturer [1], Bridgestone is committed to identifying and addressing the challenges that fleets face on a daily basis with premium tires, technology and services.

In a rapidly changing world and business, Bridgestone is a pioneer in creating new products, technologies and digital solutions to meet the needs of fleets, OEMs and key customers for convenient, sustainable and efficient solutions, while helping to shape the future of mobility.

At IAA 2018, Bridgestone will be showcasing innovative new offerings to complement its premium tire and mobility portfolio for the first time.

New flagship tires and fleet solutions

Fleets today need products and services that are efficient, convenient and sustainable.

Bridgestone will be showcasing the new generation of Ecopia tires for trucks and buses at this year's IAA. Developed and tested in collaboration with Bridgestone customers across Europe, this new Ecopia series will reduce fleet operating costs throughout the year, significantly lowering fuel consumption and providing superior wet grip and uncompromising mileage. As always, these new tires are designed to last for many years, regenerating through the Bandag process.

Bridgestone will also debut a new vehicle service solution for IAA fleet customers for the first time. Digitally, this offering will provide fleets with data that will help the vehicle last longer and limit common problems in daily operation.

The new interfaces provide exceptional benefits for fleets and their partners.

Bridgestone also announced that from 2019, truck and bus tires will be equipped with an electronic RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system.

The addition of RFID will provide additional options for fleet customers by improving tire traceability and providing an efficient and accurate data exchange and entry system. Customers will have the ability to seamlessly access information through reports, ultimately helping to rejuvenate the business and optimize their overall costs.

RFID will be used on all Bridgestone interfaces and will bring significant benefits to the tire management systems better known as "Total Tire Care" [2]. Available to 2100 members of the Bridgestone partner network, Total Tire Care ensures optimal safety and lower tire maintenance costs while maintaining maximum fleet efficiency.

Focused on the future

These latest solutions are just the beginning as Bridgestone leads people into the future of mobility. Macro-trends such as climate change and digitalization and the growing influence of CASE (connected, off-grid, collaborative and electric) are coming together to pose new challenges. Bridgestone experts are constantly working to create state-of-the-art digital mobility solutions by combining innovation, partnerships and research. Attendees at IAA 2018 will get a firsthand look at some of the areas Bridgestone is working on to provide fleets with safe, efficient, convenient and sustainable solutions for the future.

Bridgestone will be showcasing groundbreaking technology pioneered in truck and bus tires in the Smart corner of the booth. Designed for electric vehicles, ologic technology uses a larger diameter and narrower tread to achieve exceptional fuel efficiency without compromising safety.

It will also be on display at the IAA and will be new to Firestone Industrial Products' Airide ™ Pro commercial air suspension. Designed for trailer installation, Airide Pro gives you total control over the chassis and axles for better roadholding, longer tire life and a lower total cost of ownership.

Visit the Bridgestone booth (Hall 16, Booth C01) and attend the press conference (September 19 at 9.15: XNUMX at the Bridgestone booth) to learn more about these innovative mobility solutions, technologies and products.
