Cake Kalk & - a new electric motorcycle from the Swedish manufacturer

Swedish company Cake is launching the Kalk & electric motorcycle, which needs road approval. The austere two-wheeled vehicle associated with off-roading will be sold in the US and Europe. Its price is not yet known, the acceptance of orders will begin in March 2019.

Cake already offers the Kalk OR off-road motorcycle. because logical seems to read the name "Kalk &" as "Kalk I". The word “Kalk” itself means “lime” in Swedish (and German), and the manufacturer recognizes that the name of the two-wheelers comes from the Swedish word “Kalksten”, which means “limestone”.

Kalk & should be suitable for both off-road and off-road driving. It is not known what its technical parameters are, but the Electrek portal, after comparing Kalk OR and Kalk &, estimates that the two-wheeled motorcycle should include a 15 kW (20,4 hp) electric motor. The battery capacity, in turn, can be seen from the photo - this is probably 2,6 kWh:

With such power, we are unlikely to go crazy. Traveling 30-50 kilometers on a single charge is a really good achievement. However, the manufacturer promises that the Kalk & will be able to accelerate to over 100 km / h thanks to the changed gear. There is not a word about range at this speed.
