Step 1. Access to the engine

Start by stopping your car and open the hood. If your vehicle is equipped with an engine shroud, loosen the engine shroud retaining screws a quarter turn and pull up. Then remove the engine cover.

Step 2. Unscrew the bleed screw.

The bleed screw is usually located just below the diesel filter. You will need to unscrew it one turn so that air can escape during refueling.

Step 3: start the engine

Start the engine for a few seconds. Cut off and wait for about 10 seconds. Restart the engine a second time. Repeat this operation as many times as necessary until your engine starts.

Step 4: Tighten the bleed screw

You should now fully tighten the bleed screw that you removed earlier.

Step 5: restart the engine
