The safety system, fitted as standard on the latest Alfa Romeo models, makes it possible to alter the vehicle's dynamics simply by operating the selector next to the gear lever.

It affects the main components of the car, such as: steering, changing the load and making it more or less rigid; an engine control unit that changes the throttle response and increases the overboost effect; VDC, ABS and ASR system, which regulates the threshold when driving.

In addition, the system can also interact with active suspensions (if provided) or even with an electric transmission (if provided), regulating the speed of shifting and the speed at which it occurs.

The selector can be configured with three different settings:

  • All the weather
  • Normal start
  • dynamic
