The 1,6-liter 8-valve VAZ 11183 engine was produced by the concern from 2004 to 2017. Its release, together with the related engine 21114, was established in Togliatti, but in different workshops. The 2011 version with the electronic E-gas pedal received its own index 11183-50.

The VAZ 8V line also includes internal combustion engines: 11182, 11186, 11189, 21114 and 21116.

Description of the design of the engine Lada 11183 8 valves

The unit has a 4-cylinder cast-iron cylinder block and an 8-valve aluminum head with an overhead camshaft, cams drive the valves through pushrods. There are no hydraulic lifters here, valve clearances are adjusted by selecting steel washers.

The cylinder block of this power unit is essentially not much different from the VAZ 21083 engine, but the head is naturally already with an injector. The increased piston stroke from 71 to 75.6 mm increased the working volume from 1.5 to 1.6 liters, and the phased injection replaced the pair-parallel one.
