The 2.5-liter ZMZ 405 engine has been produced since 2000 at the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant and is installed on a number of car brands belonging to the domestic concern GAZ. This unit was upgraded in 2008 to adapt to EURO 3 environmental standards.
This series also includes internal combustion engines: 402, 406, 409 and PRO.
