Electric car VW Crafter for PLN 300 net - not cheap

German portal Electrive has tested the VW e-Crafter, Volkswagen's first electric van. Journalists tried to excite him, but the figures presented are not particularly optimistic. As if Volkswagen was bluntly trying to say that this is a car for enthusiasts only.

The car tested by journalists was equipped with an engine (power: 136 hp, torque: 290 Nm) and batteries (power: 35,8 kWh) from an electric VW Golf. So there was no exploration of America. Despite this the price of VW e-Crafter was set at 69,5 thousand euros., i.e. the equivalent of almost 300 PLN net. For comparison: the VW Crafter internal combustion engine starts in Poland from 99 PLN net.

The maximum speed of the electric locomotive was limited to 90 km / h. According to journalists, the vehicle's range should be about 130 kilometers (source), while others claim that the real range is 140 kilometers. VW e-Golf with the same battery travels 201 km without recharging.

According to representatives of the Electrive portal, the car is intended primarily for companies that want to "gain experience related to electromobility." According to Volkswagen, the e-Crafter must act as a supplier at the very end of the supply chain: it must drive 6 hours 9 days a week and cover 70 kilometers per shift, stopping 100 times.
