Energica announces small powertrains for electric motorcycles. Should be cheaper

Today Energica offers three electric motorcycles: Energica Ego, Energica Eva and Energica EsseEsse 9. Prices for the cheapest, EsseEsse 9, start at € 20,6 thousand net, which is quite a significant amount. However, the Italian manufacturer has just announced a smaller powertrain. Less usually means cheaper.

According to the information on the manufacturer's website, Energica EsseEsse dinner 9 starts at exactly € 20 net, which would be a staggering amount for Poland PLN 108 thousand gross... For this money we will get an electric motorcycle from power 80 kW (109 hp), torque 180 Nm i batteries with a capacity of 11,7 kWh... This motorcycle accelerates to 100 km / h in just 3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km / h.

currently the manufacturer announced the start of work on two new engines... They are designed for small and medium motorcycle engines and offer power from 8/11 kW (11/15 hp) to 30 kW (41 hp). The first powertrain is ideal for small scooters, equivalent to combustion motorcycles, with a volume of approximately 125 cubic centimeters. The second is likely to go to larger two-wheelers with characteristics similar to the BMW C-evolution.

Considering that Energica already has experience in building power units, they can enter the market quite quickly - We won’t be surprised if they will be presented in the finished bike already at the beginning of 2020.... This means that Japanese industrial giants have less and less time to present something of their own design:
