Yeah, I get it, I definitely agree that the van version makes it easier to plan vacations, leisure activities, and moves. Then, when you have a problem with your luggage, you can easily say: “No problem, I have a caravan, I will take everything! “And you act – almost a savior. The Fiat Stilo Multi Wagon is a car of its kind. Huge trunk, which in the basic configuration offers 510 liters, if necessary, can be increased to 1480 liters! But that's not all.

The designers of this car also thought of such very useful little things as a movable back bench, an adjustable backrest tilt of the back bench, a hanger in the luggage compartment for shopping bags, etc. However, the trunk overlooks the fact that the bottom of the car is not flat and the rear seats are fully folded, making it one of the few “endangered species” that doesn't offer it yet!

Access to the trunk is easy, because you can only open the rear window separately, but the back door is easy to raise with the help of a huge (I admit, nothing pleasant, but very useful) handle. The handle - given that it looks huge and awkward - allows you to smoothly open it: all you have to do is grab it carefully, and the fifth door will slowly crawl far over your head, even if you are one of the highest representatives of our species. . In short: according to most editors, the back offers more usability than aesthetic satisfaction. You like it?

While driving, I was pleased to notice that the Stilo Multi Wagon was well equipped. Four airbags, semi-automatic air conditioning, radio with CD player, two-speed electric power steering (with the City button on the center bump the power steering so that turning the steering wheel becomes child's play), central locking and several electric aids provide great comfort. , you get a car for just over three million tolars.

There is plenty of room, there are so many boxes for small items that I could hardly count them (I would just like to mention the one above the driver's and front passenger's head, which is one of the most useful), and the folded front passenger seat provides a comfortable table. Of course, soon we at the editorial office realized that the emergency table is very useful even when you are tired of hard work. Then you fold the seat into the table, slide the back seat closer to the front (maximum eight centimeters!) And rotate the backrest. Ahhh, it felt as good as sitting at home in a chair!

So I think that Stilo Multi Wagon will definitely not be among the favorites for company cars, since we also had to conduct this "testing" more incognito, in secret ... But, as smart people say, if necessary, it is necessary! For work, everything ...

We want JTD!

By far the biggest complaint on the cons list was the 1 horsepower 6-liter engine. The four-cylinder engine, equipped with sixteen valves, should not only be enough for this car, but also pamper it a little with agility.

However, it turned out that it chronically lacks torque, as the engine wakes up only when the number 4.000 on the engine speedometer. At that time ... how would you explain it ... not loud, but unpleasant to the ears and does not spoil at all. If there is only one person in the Multi Wagon, the engine will still be able to meet all the driver's demands, but if the car was completely filled with people and luggage, its breathing would begin to choke. Therefore, those planning to buy a van version of the Stilo are listening to a simple decision: buy a version with a turbodiesel engine.

The JTD was ordered for this vehicle because it has so much torque that you can easily hitch another fully loaded trailer. And it will consume even less, even if the test car drank just over nine liters of unleaded gasoline per hundred kilometers, which is not so much for a car weighing almost 1 ton and with a heavy right foot.

Of course, when I rode the Stilo Multi Wagon, I called good friends several times and invited them on short trips. Usually in the mountains. I also invited those friends who can't refuse three bags for one day (why I still don't understand that a make-up repair bag is a mandatory and essential piece of luggage - even on a small hike in the mountains!!).
