HPS - High pressure support

Content

A very important system during emergency braking, which allows you to shorten the braking distance as much as possible.

In some situations it may happen that the required pressure can rise to such an extent that it exceeds the set value of the brake booster. In this case, the shut-off valves in the ESP group are closed; therefore, the brake pump can generate pressures of up to 250 bar! Maximum braking action, best controlled by the ABS!
