Hynergy, which promotes hydrogen as the clean fuel of the future, has tested a winter electric vehicle (BEV) and fuel cells (FCEV). Because the Tesla Model S 90D and Hyundai Nexo are fighting. Defeated hydrogen Nexo.

The experiment used a 356-kilometer route from Munich in Germany to St. Moritz in Switzerland. It is believed to be a site frequented by German skiers who go skiing down the slope on weekends (source).

The hydrogen filling station was located in Innsbruck (158 km from Munich), so Nexo had to make up for the road. In return, Tesla used resort town charging stations (not Supercharger).

It's hard to say why Tesla, which is no longer in production, was chosen, but you can guess that electrician lost... At temperatures between 0 and -11 degrees Celsius, only 450 (uphill) or 275 (uphill) of Tesla's claimed stock of 328 kilometers remains. In addition, the car was charged at a speed of + 0,6-5 km per minute at a price of 11,5-15 euros / 100 km.

Against this background, the Hyundai Nexo shone: in a minute it gained +100 km of the power reserve, at one gas station it drove 500-600 km, and the hydrogen used in it cost 10 euros per 100 km.

Filling up with hydrogen requires route planning, Hybergee says, but it's fun and avoids the smell of diesel fuel. The range does not decrease even at low temperatures and high loads. The electric car had almost nothing but flaws - the only praise we found in the content was the mention of autopilot.

The final conclusion: Hydrogen can replace diesels, batteries still have a long way to go.
