The burner is the area of the blowtorch that determines the size and heat of the flame. The burner is an interchangeable part and may vary in size and shape.
Lock button
The lock button allows the user to operate hands-free. It keeps the blowtorch on without touching the trigger.
Flame control
Flame control allows the user to control the size of the flame from a point that is a hot blue flame to a soft yellow flame. To create a hot flame, turn the flame regulator nozzle counterclockwise, and to set it to a colder flame or turn it off, turn it clockwise.
Piezo ignition
Piezo ignition allows you to light a blowtorch without the use of an external flame. It can be in the form of a trigger or a button. Some heavy duty blowtorches do not have a piezo ignition switch and must be manually ignited. This is done by turning on the blowtorch by turning the flame control nozzle, passing a small amount of gas, and placing the lit flame into the gas.
communication
The coupling on the blowtorch allows you to attach it to a gas cartridge. The soft soldering blowtorch can be either EN417 (7/16″) or CGA 600 (1″ threaded).
