Reading a book, we often forget about the world around us. We are consumed by the following pages, but in order to be able to fully enter the world of literature, we need the appropriate conditions. Peace and quiet are the foundation, but what fun it would be to be able to indulge in this favorite pastime in a cozy place created in your own home. Learn how to create the perfect reading nook.

The perfect place to read 

When arranging a reading nook, follow three basic rules, according to which:

1. you will find a good place with access to light,
2. you take care of a comfortable seat,
3. you will try to organize the space well.

I wonder what exactly this means? 

The most important thing is that the reading nook has good lighting. Natural light is most beneficial to our eyes, so try to place it near a window whenever possible. When looking for a suitable area in your home, make sure it is in a secluded area. Reading books in the opening from the living room to the kitchen or right next to the door to the bathroom is not a good idea. It should be as quiet as possible. Also consider making it just cute, cute. In autumn and winter, a corner next to the fireplace is great, if you have one. Nothing will create such a cozy atmosphere as a cheerfully crackling fire, and piercing cold and darkness outside the window. For others, a wide window sill overlooking the garden in the backyard can be the perfect place to read. In spring and summer, this is a particularly desirable view, guaranteeing maximum access to light.

The second rule is about convenience. Forget about reading in your chair. To have a good time reading a book, you need to feel comfortable. Armchair, couch or deck chair - the basis. To do this, take care of textiles that give comfort. A blanket and a few soft pillows will suffice. Thanks to them, even the windowsill can be turned into the most comfortable and stylish place for reading.

Finally, organize your reading nook well. Next to the chair, you will need a small auxiliary table on which you can put a cup of your favorite tea or coffee or a glass of water and put the phone. Also consider where you will place the lamp, which will become indispensable after dark, even when you sit right next to the largest window in your house.

The ideal reading nook should be customized to your individual taste. Well, if you can fit it into the style of the whole house. Some prefer the boho atmosphere, while others are much more suited to glamorous interiors. However, regardless of your preferences, there are certain pieces of equipment that determine the convenience and functionality of the place. Just decide which style suits you best.

Seat 

Let's start with the most important piece of furniture - something to sit on. If you're short on space, a bag might be a good option. Contrary to appearances, this is an extremely comfortable seat, the shape of which adapts to the sitting position to relieve the spine.

Complete your new corner with cozy accessories. A nice soft and warm blanket and pillow will give you the pleasure of reading. Choose more than one decorative pillow. You can comfortably support your back and elbows with them, or place them under your feet. Every day, these pillows will decorate the interior and invite you to the next evening with a book.
