What are the types of nailers?

Sliding handle nail pullers | |
| This type of nail puller resembles many of the antique nail pullers you can find; it includes gripping jaws and a swing leg or supporting heel. |
 | These nail pullers use their handle as a built-in hammer or rammer so there is no need for a separate hammer. The handle is used to close the jaws under the head of the nail.  | The rammer is either a hammer with a piston rod that moves inside a bushing, or a hammer with a sliding bushing that moves along a shaft. |
Little nail pullers | |
 | This type of nail puller is a variation of the standard, traditional nail puller as it does not have a sliding handle and is designed to be used with a separate claw hammer. |
 | Instead of a handle, it has a striking pad at the top, which is struck by a hammer to knock out the jaws under the head of a nail. You then use the hammer claw on one of the fixtures to knock out the nail. |
