What motorcycle races are waiting for us in 2022-2023?

Weekend after weekend, from morning to evening, you can follow the efforts of the best motorcyclists in the world in qualifying and regular races, where they compete for points in the overall standings of their competitions. Which motorcycle races should you watch in 2022 and 2023? Let's see what awaits us in the world of motorcycle racing and what races in our country are most awaited by the fans.

MotoGP

Like every year, the eyes of the entire motorcycle world are riveted on the queen of racing on two wheels - MotoGP. The Motorcycle World Championship is the most prestigious motorcycle race of 2022 and undoubtedly attracts the attention of the largest number of fans. MotoGP is the equivalent of Formula 1 in the world of motorcycle racing, which brings together the best participants in the race. These competitions are called the "royal class" and have been held continuously since 1949, constantly arousing great emotions and enjoying huge popularity.

MotoGP is also extremely popular with bookmakers and sports bettors where the winner of the current MotoGP season can be predicted. If you're planning on betting on motorcycle racing, it's worth looking around to see if any new bookmaker offers a welcome deposit bonus or a free no deposit bonus. Additional start-up capital is a great way to start betting, especially when it comes to betting on motorcycle racing.

MotoGP Grand Prix races take place throughout the year on 4 continents - Europe, America, Asia and Australia. The 2022 MotoGP is a 21 event in which riders will compete for points in Grand Prix such as Qatar GP, Indonesian GP, Argentina GP, America GP, Portuguese GP, Spanish GP, French GP, Italy GP, Catalonia GP, GP of Germany, TT Assen (Netherlands), GP of Finland, GP of Great Britain, GP of Austria, GP of San Marino, GP of Aragon, GP of Japan, GP of Thailand, GP of Australia, GP of Malaysia and GP of Valencia.

In addition to the individual points classification of riders, as in MotoGP Formula 1, there is also a classification of constructors, i.e. motorcycle manufacturers on which riders participate. The rating depends on the actions of riders on motorcycles of specific designers and the number of points they bring to the finish line. Currently, the classification includes such constructors as:

  • Ducati,
  • KTM,
  • Suzuki,
  • Aprilia,
  • yamaha,
  • Honda.

It is worth noting that since 2012, MotoGP has been racing motorcycles with a maximum engine capacity of up to 1000 cc, which allows it to develop power up to 250 hp. and speed on the highway up to 350 km / h. According to the regulations of the royal class, the engine can have a maximum of 4 cylinders with a diameter of up to 81 mm. The participant can change the engine up to 7 times during the whole season.

Moto2 and Moto3

This is the intermediate and lowest racing class in the Motorcycle World Championship respectively. MotoGP venues are no less popular, with races following the same schedule as in the premier class. Compared to MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 are characterized by greater restrictions on the design and power of the engines that competitors compete on.

For the Moto2 class, there are restrictions such as the combined weight of the motorcycle and driver, which must be at least 215 kg, as well as motorcycles equipped with four-stroke engines with a maximum displacement of 600 cc to 140 hp.

In the lowest Moto3 class, the minimum required gear weight is 152kg. Racers here compete on motorcycles with single-cylinder, 250-stroke, 6cc engines. cm, must have a maximum of 115-speed transmission, and the exhaust system must not produce more than XNUMX dB of noise.

WSBK - World Superbikes

The Superbike World Championship is one of the most popular motorcycle races in the world, organized, like MotoGP, by the International Motorcyclist Federation (FIM). There is one fundamental difference between WSBK and MotoGP: MotoGP bikes are specially built prototype racing machines, while WSBK machines are production road bikes specially tuned for racing. So the limitation here is a motorcycle with a four-stroke engine that is mass-produced.

WSBK racing is popular precisely because it is limited to production models, allowing fans and motorcycle owners to directly identify with the competition. Compared to MotoGP, the bikes in World Superbike are slower, heavier and more like the bikes you regularly see on the road. Among the machine builders, we will find manufacturers similar to those in MotoGP, because they are Ducati, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda or BMW.

The WSBK series runs on the same circuits as MotoGP, so we have a very good comparison of lap times. However, WSBK motorcycle races are held less often than MotoGP because the competition takes place every two weeks from April to November with a month-long rest break in August. WSBK motorcycle racing betting is very popular and almost every new bookmaker offers access to it.

2022-2023 is a period rich in many interesting motorcycle races that will excite and gather crowds of fans both in the stands and in front of spectators almost every weekend. In addition to the royal MotoGP, our native motorcycle yard is also developing dynamically, because racing in our country is of increasing interest. For example, competitions in Bydgoszcz or Poznań as part of the Cup and Polish Championships in track racing gather a really large number of fans.
