List of Common Transmission Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)

These are the most common trouble codes. We have updated our previous complete one-page list of all common transmission trouble codes.

Since the list is so long, we have divided it into different pages by category or by the first character of the code. So if you have a code like P0420, click on the P04xx link below to go to that code list.

Manufacturer's codes (P1xxx)

If your DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) starts with P1xxx, it means that this is the manufacturer's code. For more information on P1 codes, select your car make here:
