Short test: Jeep Renegade 1,6 JDT TCT

We know tastes are different, but the Renegade's off-road form is completely different from any other off-road or distant competition. Such a car (especially in bright colors) attracts the eye and evokes emotions in people who like to be different. The difference in lines with the characteristic round headlights at the front and the well-known Jeep mask, combined with a square profile and unusual taillights that penetrate under the skin.

The Renegade is large enough to accommodate four adults, but the trunk could have been slightly larger. But that would also mean bigger outside dimensions, as the Renegade in inches is in a group where cars still do a great job of dealing with city traffic congestion (or some rough terrain full of straits and tight bends). Even behind the back, everything is always under control, the mirrors are extremely transparent. This 20 centimeters, as far as your belly is lifted off the ground, is enough to drive on a country road or rubble, where the rain washed away the top layer of gravel. Sure, the belly would have been tall enough for more serious off-road adventures, but since the test Renegade was front-wheel drive only, we didn't take it.

But since he doesn't even want to be a forester, in this performance he prefers the role of a city dude. For pickpockets, though, the automatic transmission could shift faster and smoother, interfere with the shaking we felt when bad asphalt hit the wheels on the highway, and even the navigation broke it too much on its own.

In addition, of course, it’s not cheap, like a jeep, but of course, you have to pay for uniqueness (both equipment and features). The fact that there is also a cheaper version without all-wheel drive is only a plus - most people do not need it, even if they want an "off-road".
