It was not the design that was to blame, but the technology that simply calls for harmless hooliganism. But more on that later, since this technique is actually old, already tried and tested. Coupe for sure special design, with which you can not go unnoticed around the city. The windshield is flatter, along with the A-pillars, by 13 degrees, so the Coupe is 23 millimeters lower than the classic Mini. In this interesting, but not everyone likes, car sculpture, some saw a helmet, others saw an inverted hat with an umbrella. The guys turned it over so that the visor looked back, and the Coupe resembles such a pobalin. And with Pobalinism, we know that someday something needs to be done.

The interior is a hair like a classic Mini. He still reigns in him huge speedometerwhich is completely opaque, you can still play with airplane switches, and the Mini is still poorly equipped with storage space. In my defense, I must add that you can bring up a more transparent speed display on the digital display inside the speedometer (which is commendable to the driver), that there is a very useful shelf behind the seats, and that you get used to it. to all its functions very quickly. Interestingly, despite the lower roof, our long Dushan and Sashko did not complain at all about the lack of space above their heads, therefore, despite the smaller space, you should not be afraid of a bad position behind the wheel. Well, the feeling of being cramped is still there and the seats could be improved a lot, but you can survive. Or live fast, which is undoubtedly the mission of this car.

Considering the Cooper S technique is hidden in the coupe, it is clear to us that this is a real little rocket. Gasoline 1,6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with as engine 135 kilowatts (or more domestic 185 "horses") are divided in each of the six gears. With winter tires, cornering fun is a little spoiled, but with stabilization disabled on slippery roads, you can easily make the rear of the car slip, then hit the gas pedal and catapult into the next Jean Ragnotti-style corner. The reverse side of the technique is only one: Cooper S. it does not have a classic differential lockso the high-torque motor spins the unloaded drive tire mercilessly. So we relied on the optional DTC with electronic differential lock (emergency exit if you ask me, since it only brakes the inner wheel) and praised DSC or Dynamic Stability Control: it may not have gone as fast or as fast, although it allows quite a bit of freedom, however the front winter tires definitely saved a few millimeters of black surface. However, it was still fast that we often "bentilled" why others were parked in the middle of the road.

Why is the sports program being closed?

Forget about the car because of the falling roof. Even this small glass surface, which allows only half to see what is happening behind the car, tapers above 80 km / h when the rear spoiler automatically reaches its highest position and below 60 km / h it disappears into the tailgate again. For the charm, BMW (oh, wanted to write Mini) added an option in spoilers you also raise when driving in the city, but continue to work only until the speed drops below 60 km / h again.It is not clear to me why it is impossible to drive with the sports program all the time (since it turns off every time you turn off the car ) and a raised spoiler, because only then does the open feature of this vehicle appear in the foreground, i.e. uncompromising.

While we somehow got used to the automatic raising of the spoiler, we constantly went to the Auto store according to the program Sports... If you think this is due to better acceleration and higher top speed or a more responsive accelerator pedal, you are wrong. We did this solely because of cracks in the exhaust system when the engine was warming up. With each release of the accelerator pedal, a storm loomed in there, indulging the driver and passenger with a roaring roar. If, as a result, a deciliter of fuel passed through the exhaust system, so be it. It was worth it!

Because of the above, we claim that the Mini Coupe Cooper S is one of the biggest manufacturers in town. If conditionally in form, then without a hint of doubt in technique.
