Short test: Peugeot Partner Tepee 92 HDi Style

A few design changes, including daylight LED technology and Partner, are good for a few more years of sales. Of course, it's not that easy as the auto industry is increasingly repressed by (environmental) regulations, but it looks like small trucks (hmm, when asked if it's a chicken or an egg, the answer is a delivery van) will have many more successful years to come. Why?

Ease of use would be the right answer, especially if we're thinking about family. Double sliding doors are ordered for tight parking lots (and negligent kids), durable cleaners, three separate rear seats for flexibility, and tables for kids' delights. The seats are easy to remove and leave room for larger items of luggage, not to mention plenty of storage space (closed boxes in front of the driver and front passenger, a huge box between the front seats, a shelf in front of the front passenger, a box in front and hidden nooks in the floor of the car) . If we add to that the proven shape of the dashboard, where the big round air vents and the two-tone base reign supreme, and add the comfortable seats, then the cards are good for a winning game too.

Among the main drawbacks, women would name a heavy-duty tailgate, and men would name an inaccurate transmission with only five gears. There is also almost too much noise in highway restrictions, although this is not only due to the combination of a modest volume turbodiesel and powertrain, but also to the shape of the body. The engine is suitable for everyday travel, and its consumption depends more on the current mood of the driver and the road than on the weather or season. In normal daily driving, we consumed an average of 7,7 liters, 6,4 liters on the highway, 5,7 liters on a regular lap. Thus, you can count on an average consumption of around seven liters, which of course increases significantly if the Partner is fully loaded. For family outings, there's enough torque to get a little lazy, but if your PSU needs to carry heavier stuff, we still recommend getting the more powerful 115-horsepower version.

Therefore, if you are buying a new car, do not ask the children for their opinion after the test drive. They won't be looking at the work car that is the backbone of this car, but because of the sliding doors and extra tables and of course the piles of toys and bicycles in the trunk, they will always say, "Daddy, buy."

evaluation

  • While we have always advocated the spaciousness and usability of this vehicle, we have a low profile with technology. Proponents, you are right, in principle, there really is nothing in it, but we are more inclined towards those who say that a delivery van remains a delivery van in another form.

We praise and reproach

colorful interior

side sliding doors on both sides

warehouses

three separate seats in the back
