Well, of course, but it seems to me that Ateca is another one of those newcomers who contributed to the choice of the most popular car part at the moment. “Refreshing” memory is not harmful, in a world of overproduction of information (sorry - always new car models) it is very convenient. The author of this entry also had the honor and opportunity to pass the initial Ateca test at the time already mentioned.

It was also equipped with a two-liter turbodiesel engine, even with the same power.... Only an important detail differed, the first one also had a four-wheel drive for testing (in Seat they are called 4Drive). This one is on the test now only with the front one.

What are the differences? This is of course not felt under normal driving conditions, nthey feel lighter when driving off slippery surfaces... Since, of course, the vast majority of Ateca customers probably don't cite slippery terrain as the main reason, it's also understandable that very few of them choose the 4Drive version.

If we use the data from our first test, the customer will save a lot, as the Ateca tested at that time cost € 36.436. Full price comparison is not possible because now Seat it no longer offers a combination of all-wheel drive and a XNUMX-liter TDI engine with a traditional six-speed manual transmission.

But the good news is that you now get a combination of 4D and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DSG) for almost the same amount. Really interesting: Ateca has kept the price almost unchanged lately.

If we stick to the price for a while - even if we compare Atecino with competitors, even with those of a lower class, then this will be - especially given the equipment offered with the Xcellence label - very tempting offer.

But the offer is very wide, and the Seat brand allegedly does not have the loudest reputation with most buyers. Otherwise, I could conclude that its mass on Slovenian roads could have been much larger than it actually is ...

At the Ateca, the exterior offers nothing surprising, the rather classic SUV design gives the advantage that the car is quite transparent.... It's the same with the interior. It is quite satisfactory in terms of comfort and spaciousness. Here he, of course, is among the leaders in his class, and the competitors presented later want to convince many with their likability.

Compared to them, Ateca gives the impression of mediocrity, primarily because it seems above all else. interior design without a hint of ingenuity. But it is even more true that everything we need is in the right place. For some clients, usability and simplicity may not matter much. Fortunately (for Seat too) there are enough customers at Ateca who even appreciate it, because the car is primarily a reliable vehicle.

Seat's first urban SUV (crossover or SUV, whatever you like) is a turbo-diesel version that some people don't like. The main impression of diesels is no longer as convincing as it used to be, when they were not “burdened” with additional exhaust gas cleaning devices. (but then, at least according to modern data, they really were on the verge of legality). But for some types of user expectations (for example, long distance driving or towing trailers), such a diesel engine is an ideal choice.

In Ateca, especially since with Xcellence equipment, the customer gets a really wide range of useful things, and the added value of our guarantees is Urban Xcellence 1 application (with some electronic safety accessories, Full Link seat and navigation add-on) and winter package (which allows you to heat a wide variety of things, from seats to windshield washer nozzles and headlight washers).

It is true, of course, that the buyer quickly wonders why the already rich version of Xcellence with the highest possible equipment does not offer this, but here the customers and the commercial departments of car manufacturers will never coordinate their actions.
