In August 2016, as part of the Moscow international showcase of new products in the automotive industry (traditionally the auto show is held at the end of summer), Lifan held an official presentation of a significantly modernized version of the small Solano sedan, which has a new version of the prefix "II", and which the manufacturers themselves call " second generation ”model Solano.

The car, presented in China in the spring of 2015 with the index "650", has undergone dramatic external changes, added in dimensions, acquired an improved technical component and received a more modern interior.
The second "release" Lifan Solano retained its previous shape, but became much more attractive, original and older than its predecessor. The three-volume box has tried on a harmonious facade with a large radiator grille and slightly frowned lighting equipment, and in its stern, due to the "fleshy" bumper and new cute lanterns "crawling" onto the trunk lid, there have been transformations towards greater solidity.
Restyled Solano has significantly increased in size compared to the previous version of the car: its length is now 462 centimeters, 260,5 cm of which fits the wheelbase, while the height and width of the car do not exceed 149,5 and 170,5 centimeters, respectively. The curb weight of the Lifan Solano 2 is 1155 kilograms, the maximum permissible weight is 1530 kilograms. The stated ground clearance (clearance) is 16,5 centimeters.

Lifan Solano in a new body has a laconic, attractive, but moderately strict interior design, which is in no way inferior to its direct competitors.
The saloon of the sedan attracts attention with a modern multi-steering wheel with a three-spoke design, an informative and originally arranged instrument panel, as well as an ergonomic center console, which includes a stylish climate control panel and a seven-inch touchscreen display of the most modern infotainment complex.
Apparently, the interior decoration of this four-door will offer a sufficiently large supply of free space for front and rear passengers, but the car seats do not have the best profile.
The car is notable for complete order with cargo capacity - they make up the previous 650 liters, which can be increased by folding the rear sofa (that is, sacrificing "passenger capacity").

For the “second Solano”, a single gasoline-powered engine was proposed - the car is equipped with an in-line 4-cylinder “aspirated” with a volume of 1.5 liters, a 16-valve timing, a cast-iron cylinder block, and distributed fuel injection. The power unit to its credit has a hundred horsepower at 6 rpm, as well as 000 Nm of torque at 129 - 3 rpm.
Together with this engine, a front drive axle and a five-speed manual transmission are installed on the car.
The maximum speed that the Chinese sedan can reach is 180 km / h, and the consumption of gasoline (for a car, AI95 gasoline is optimal) does not exceed 6.5 liters for every "hundred" in combined conditions.
Lifan Solano 2 from its predecessor received a modernized platform with independent suspension at the rear with a semi-independent torsion beam scheme and front based on McPherson struts.
Chinese automakers note that the car has redesigned the steering and chassis.
By default, a four-door car is equipped with disc brakes on all four wheels, along with EBD and ABS.

Lifan Solano 2 is supplied to the Russian automotive market in only three versions - Basic, Comfort, Luxury.
The minimum configuration, which costs 499 rubles, includes the following:
- ABS;
- a pair of airbags;
- central locking with remote control;
- signaling;
- air conditioning;
- music system with four speakers;
- electric windows "in a circle";
- steel wheel rims;
- seat upholstery with leatherette.
Richer configurations Comfort and Luxury cost 569 and 900 rubles each. The "comfortable" car can additionally boast: an audio system with 599 speakers, heated front seats, wheel caps, a cigarette lighter and an immobilizer. But the privileges of the "Lux" performance are: a navigator, a multimedia center, light-alloy "rollers", rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, heated mirrors and electrical settings.
