The seat has been designed with the results of driving fatigue research in mind. The pedals are positioned strictly along the axis of the body. This is due to the fact that even with a slight displacement of the node, the legs and neck are strained more.

On the back sofa, passengers are as comfortable as possible. People with an average build can sit freely even with the front seats pushed back as far as possible. Passengers in the second row can independently control the climate by adjusting the direction of the airflow. There is a compartment with USB connectors on the back.

The rear sofa can be accessed by pushing back the second row seats. Rear passengers only have armrests on both sides. There are also small speakers here.

Trunk capacity depends on the location of the third row seats. They can be lowered or raised. To increase the volume of the cargo compartment, the second row seats can be lowered. The subwoofer is located in the dock under the raised floor.

Several changes have been made in the suspension - the rear shock absorbers are located a little further than in the "five", and the silent blocks are reinforced. On the road, the chassis behaves flawlessly, easily fitting into turns. The minimal effect of the tall body can be felt.

The crossover is not designed for off-road driving. However, the car goes confidently on the ground and on the field. She takes gullies with difficulty, but for dacha and city obstacles she “swallows” noiselessly.

Technical specifications

Mazda CX-9 received a 2,5L SkyActive engine. The return to turbo engines does not imply the installation of other diesel or gasoline units. We can note a confident boost - at 5 rpm, the engine produces 000hp. At 231 rpm, the engine shows 2 Nm. The moment is very even, traction is noted even at low revs. There is no turbo lag. Due to the significant complication of the design, the engine has a moderate fuel consumption.

Other specifications:

  • The engine has a compression ratio of 10,5. This allows fuel to be burned more efficiently. However, the temperature in the chamber also rises. This increases the risk of detonation. However, the problem was solved by installing the EGR system and ejection cleaning of the cylinders.
  • Due to the intricate design of the manifold, the cylinders operate in a 1-3-4-2 order.
  • The sophisticated turbine provides linear recoil without dips. When the engine is running at low rpm, the main channel is closed, and air flows through the auxiliary channel. When the revs increase, the wider channel is automatically opened.
  • The classic 6-speed gearbox shifts smoothly, like a variator. Acceleration turns out to be smooth.
  • In test drives, the pedal response lag was minimal due to its electronic type.
  • For every hundred, the engine consumes 12,7 liters in city driving conditions, 7,2 liters on the highway and 9,2 liters in the mix. With frequent overtaking and sudden acceleration, the consumption increases to 16 liters.

The Mazda CX-9 is one of the quietest crossovers around. At any speed, talking in the cabin is comfortable without raising your voice. This is due to the many measures for soundproofing the cabin. The noise level is 67 dB.

The wheelbase is 2930 mm. The crossover is 129 mm wide and 525 mm longer than the "five". The number of passenger seats - 7. The volume of the trunk is 810 liters.

The car is offered on the Russian market in two trim levels - Supreme and Exclusive. The first price is 2 rubles. The second costs 890 rubles.
