We change the wheels on the car - with our own hands
In recent days, the daily air temperature has been below 7 degrees, which means that you should think about replacing your car tires with winter ones. We advise you how to do it yourself.
The first and most important thing is to have a set of wheels for changing, i.e. winter tires already on rims. If we are equipped with such a set, we can carry out the entire operation ourselves. Otherwise, we will be forced to visit the vulcanizer.

We work on a flat and hard surface. We put the handbrake and leave the car in gear. If you are replacing the front wheels, you can place a wedge or block of wood under the rear wheels (for the rear wheels, do the same for the front wheels). Now loosen the wheel bolts or nuts (in this case the studs protrude straight from the hub).
Raise the car with a jack. The places where we can use this device are indicated in the owner's manual of the vehicle. In certain situations, the corresponding marking can be found on the threshold of the car (for example, we will see a special embossing there). Circles should be about 2-3 centimeters above the ground. Now we can unscrew the screws to the end, store them in a place where they will not get dirty. Do not allow sand to enter the thread.
Removing the wheel will allow us to look inside the wheel arch, pay attention to the condition of our suspension: is there a leak in the brake caliper area or on the inside of the wheel arch. Any such problem should be reported to the repair shop. It is also an opportunity to check the degree of wear of the brake disc and linings.
Now you can start assembling the wheel with winter tires. We put them on the hub and screw in the screws in every second order (for example, 1, 3, 5, 2, 4). We must choose the right strength. A wheel that is too loose can come loose, if you overdo it, there will be a problem with loosening it again, especially after winter.
Another change, to summer wheels, is made at temperatures above 7 degrees.
