Mulholland Legend 480 goes to buyers in the summer

Former TVR designer Damien McTaggart in charge of the interior

The English engineering company Mulholland Group, which specializes in the development and production of components for Formula 1 cars and WRC rally cars, decided to try to create its own sports car. His Mulholland Automotive division has taken orders for the Legend 480 two-seater coupe. They are talking about British power (486 hp) from an unnamed V8 engine. It is assumed that this may be the same Ford Coyote V8 5.0, modified by Cosworth, which is used in the latest TVR Griffith coupe. True, in the TVR, the eight-cylinder unit is a bit more powerful (507 hp).

Former TVR designer Damien McTaggart is responsible for the interior. In a sense, this car can be considered the ideological successor to TVR, although it is not connected with the current company TVR.

The engine in the Legend 480 is installed in front. He drives the rear wheels. The gearbox is six-speed manual.

Graham Mulholland, the owner of the company, said: “For me, the TVR brand has always been an example of following the true principles of sports car manufacturing and provides a truly exciting driving experience. The Legend 480, as our first car, follows a proven formula, but we use advanced manufacturing know-how and a world-class supply chain to achieve the expected qualities and driving experience. "

The body is known to have a chassis made of carbon fiber and the widespread use of carbon fiber in the body.

The TVR Griffith itself is still stagnating from prototype to production. But Mulholland launched the Legend 480 very quickly. According to Evo magazine, the first ordered copies will reach customers in July-August 2020. The company agrees on a price when a potential buyer contacts it. More interestingly, Mulholland has no plans to stop at the Legend and intends to add three more models to his catalog at a later date.
