Start of movement and change of direction

10.1

Before starting the movement, rebuilding and any change of direction, the driver must make sure that it will be safe and not create obstacles or danger to other participants in the movement.

10.2

When leaving the road from a residential area, courtyards, parking lots, gas stations and other adjacent territories, the driver must give way to pedestrians and vehicles moving along it in front of the carriageway or sidewalk, and when leaving the road - to cyclists and pedestrians, the direction of movement of which he crosses.

10.3

When changing lanes, the driver must give way to vehicles moving in the same direction along the lane that he intends to change lanes.

With the simultaneous restructuring of vehicles moving in one direction, the driver, who is on the left, must give way to the vehicle on the right.

10.4

Before turning to the right and left, including in the direction of the main road, or turning, the driver must take an appropriate extreme position on the carriageway intended for movement in this direction in advance, except when a turn is made when entering the intersection where traffic is organized , the direction of movement is determined by road signs or road markings or movement is possible only in one direction established by the configuration of the roadway, road signs or markings.

A driver who makes a left turn or a turn outside the intersection from the corresponding extreme position on the carriageway of a given direction must give way to oncoming vehicles, and when performing these maneuvers not from the extreme left position on the carriageway, to passing vehicles. The driver turning left must give way to passing vehicles moving ahead of him and performing a U-turn.

If there is a tram gauge in the middle of the carriageway, the driver of a non-rail vehicle, making a left turn or a turn outside the intersection, must give way to the tram.

10.5

Turning must be done so that when leaving the intersection of carriageways the vehicle is not in the oncoming lane, and when turning right, you should move closer to the right edge of the carriageway, except for the case when leaving the intersection where traffic is organized in a circular direction where the direction of travel is determined by the road signs or road markings or where traffic is only possible in one direction. Departure from the intersection where roundabouts are organized can be carried out from any lane if the direction of movement is not determined by road signs or markings and this will not interfere with vehicles moving in the right direction along the right direction (new changes from 15.11.2017/XNUMX/XNUMX).

10.6

If a vehicle, due to its dimensions or other reasons, cannot make a turn or a turn from the corresponding extreme position, it is allowed to deviate from the requirements of paragraph 10.4 of this Regulation, if this does not contradict the requirements of prohibiting or prescribing road signs, road markings and does not create danger or obstacles other participants in the movement. If necessary, to ensure the safety of traffic, you should seek help from others.

10.7

U-turn is prohibited:

a)at level crossings;
b)on bridges, overpasses, overpasses and under them;
at)in tunnels;
d)when the road is visible less than 100 m in at least one direction;
e)at pedestrian crossings and closer than 10 m from them on both sides, except in the case of a permitted U-turn at an intersection
d)on motorways, as well as on roads for cars, with the exception of intersections and places indicated by road signs 5.26 or 5.27.

10.8

If there is a braking lane at the point of exit from the road, the driver who intends to turn on another road should promptly change lane to this lane and slow down only on it.

If there is an acceleration lane at the entrance to the road, the driver must move along it and merge into the traffic stream, giving way to vehicles moving along this road.

10.9

When reversing the vehicle, the driver must not create danger or obstruction to other participants in the movement. To ensure traffic safety, he must, if necessary, seek help from other persons.

10.10

It is prohibited to reverse vehicles on highways, automobile roads, railway crossings, pedestrian crossings, intersections, bridges, overpasses, overpasses, in tunnels, at the entrances and exits from them, as well as on sections of roads with limited visibility or poor visibility.

Reversing on one-way roads is permitted, provided that the requirements of paragraph 10.9 of these Rules are observed and it is impossible to approach the object in any other way.

10.11

If the trajectories of the vehicles intersect, and the sequence of travel is not stipulated by these Rules, the driver must give way, to which the vehicle is approached from the right side.
