La Nissan X-Trail - Qashqai's older sister. It is built on the platform on which Renault Koleos was later born, and at the beginning of 2017 underwent an important, but not too aggressive restyling. This SUV complete and available in 5- and 7-seater configurations, with front- or all-wheel drive. It turns out solid, spacious, comfortable and very versatile. The version we are testing is 1.6 dCi 130 HP Tekna, combined with automatic transmission CVT XTronic and all-wheel drive. Let's find out together its strengths and weaknesses.
city
This is clearly not a small car to get inside. traffic citizen, but at the same time knows how to be comfortable and maneuverable. Sensors Parking and the 360° camera is a great help when maneuvering and in tight spaces. The 1.6 130 engine is quiet and guarantees the right starting point. The continuously variable transmission operates smoothly and smoothly, but does not rule out slippage under hard acceleration.
Outside the city
If on one side X-trail it is very comfortable, spacious and convenienton the other hand, it is (understandably) a little less enjoyable to drive than its sister Qashqai: both for the greater mass it inevitably increases roll a little, and for the steering wheel, which is not too straightforward. On the other hand, it absorbs bumps in the asphalt better and is also designed for off-road use. The CVT is more appreciated at low and / or constant speeds: when it is often necessary to change gears, when the pace becomes more stable, the scooter effect appears slightly (typical for this type of gearbox). THE consumption the average values found during the test are around 14-15 km / l.

On the Nissan X-Trail you travel far comfort... The driver's position is elevated, but optimal. The soundproofing of the cabin is also excellent, as is the engine, which is quiet at 130 km / h and makes long journeys very pleasant.
Life on board
La X-trail in version Tekna it is very well finished, with a high quality leather interior, a solid and well-built dashboard and a perfectly structured cockpit. There is no room on board, there is pull-out sofa and modular, which allows you to maximize the use of volumes in accordance with current needs. Capacity trunkwhich continues 565 liters (5-seater configuration) up to approx. 2.000 with the rear seat folded down. The loading sill height is also good. And 700 euros a roof with a panoramic view this money is well spent.
