Zero electric motorcycles have been recalled to sites. The problem with ... the emission label

The U.S. Highway Traffic Safety Agency (NHTSA) has ordered the manufacturer to recall Zero electric motorcycles. It turns out that an error crept into the mandatory emissions plate.

2018 models affected: Zero S ZF13.0, S ZF7.2, SR ZF14.4, DS ZF13.0, DSR ZF14.4, FX ZF7.2 and FXS ZF7.2, which have already sold 36 units since launch. on the market in October 2017. The emission icon (zero, of course) on motorcycles is incorrect because ... the model name says "2017" instead of "2018".

> Zero S electric motorcycles: PRICE from PLN 40, Range up to 240 kilometers.

This humorous example shows that government agencies are working normally. The Zero Motorcycles recall will likely involve replacing one sticker with another. Or clever gluing "8" to "7".

However, it was not always so simple:

Tesla fined for exhaust emissions

In 2009, Tesla advocated for the elimination of exhaust emission testing on the Tesla Roadster (first generation) electric vehicle. Well, the first item in the check procedure was "Place the sensor in the exhaust pipe." Due to the lack of an exhaust pipe, the test could not be carried out.

Tesla agreed to pay a $ 275 fine, which is the equivalent of PLN 985 XNUMX today.
