Skoda Kamiq 85TSI 2021 review: snapshot

The 85 TSI is the entry class in the Skoda Kamiq lineup, and you can get it with a manual transmission for a list price of $26,990 or a dual-clutch automatic transmission for $27,990.

Standard equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, silver roof rails, digital instrument cluster, 8.0-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, proximity key. , automatic tailgate, flat-bottomed steering wheel, eight-speaker stereo system, reversing camera and adaptive cruise control.

The 85 TSI is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with an output of 85 kW/200 Nm. Owners can choose between a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and a six-speed manual.

Kamiq received the maximum five-star ANCAP rating under 2019 testing guidelines.

All trims come standard with seven airbags, AEB with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, rear maneuver braking, rear parking sensors and a rearview camera.
