Polestar Enhances Human Machine Interface

Polestar 2 is the first Android car on the market today

Swedish manufacturer Polestar and its new Google partner continue to develop a new Human Machine Interface (HMI) for easier and safer travel.

Polestar 2 is by far the first Android-powered car to feature Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store, and Polestar does not intend to stop developing this functionality.

The Swedish manufacturer is currently developing Google and its Android system, a human-machine interface that will offer a higher level of customization than has already been proposed, with an environment that automatically adapts to the preferences of the car user.

Personal information stored on the Polestar digital key will be read by the system, which even with the consent of the user can actively propose changes based on the driver’s habits.

The Google Assistant will be more effective by integrating more languages and a better understanding of local accents, and the infotainment system will offer faster and more convenient streaming video applications for travelers.

Finally, Polestar also continues to work, above all, on improving the focus and proximity sensors, offering the driver only the information that is useful for driving. Thus, the screens will change their brightness and content depending on the conditions and reaction of the driver.

All these and other innovations (including the development of advanced driver assistance systems or ADAS) will be presented by the manufacturer on February 25 at a conference that will be broadcast online.
