Nicolas Raimo's channel provided an interesting list of the five most important advantages and disadvantages of the Renault Zoe ZE 50 compared to the ZE 40. Among the advantages are better traction, longer range and a much nicer interior. The disadvantages include shortcomings in functionality, illogical design solutions and the need to pay extra for the CCS 2 fast charging port even in the oldest version of the equipment.

Renault Zoe ZE 50 - worth it or not?

In terms of generational change, the new Renault Zoe ZE 50 certainly represents an improvement over the old version: a larger battery (52 instead of 41 kWh), a greater real range (about 340 instead of 260 kilometers), a more beautiful body, modernized, less plastic interior, more power (100 instead of 80 kW), can be charged via CCS up to 50 kW, maintaining 22 kW via type 2 plug and so on and so on ...

To make it more fun, the car is also available at a lower price than until recently the Renault Zoe ZE 40 – less than PLN 125.

For Raimo, the biggest problem with the car is no emergency braking i Adaptive Cruise Control... The first option helps us in difficult situations, the second is useful when driving on the highway. Thanks to him, the car itself takes care of maintaining the correct speed in relation to the vehicle in front, if necessary, it slows down or accelerates without human intervention.

The CCS 2 fast charging port turned out to be both a disadvantage and an advantage. An advantage, because so far none of the Renault Zoe generations had such an option, but a disadvantage, because we will only use it after a surcharge, and even then we will not accelerate above 50 kW. The main competitors Renault Zoe ZE 50, Opel Corsa-e and Peugeot e-208 offer a peak power of 100 kW.

It was considered absurd elimination of the possibility of opening the charging port from the key and interior heating. Now we will open the charging port cover from inside the car and we will need to use the mobile app to control the heating.
