Then he added ferrous sulfate to this composition. He poured it in until a bright red precipitate began to form in the solution. He carefully separated this sediment, and poured the remaining solution into a spray bottle and sprayed it onto the windshield. According to the craftsman, after the composition dries, a strong chemical film forms on the glass, which lasts for years.
