Remove door trim on ford focus 2
How to remove the driver's door trim on a Ford Focus 2, step by step instructions.
What you need for this:
- Flat screwdriver
- Key TORX T25 (aka “asterisk”)
- Pliers
- Head for 8 (preferably with an extension cord, but you can do without it)
First you need to completely lower the window.
Next, you need to remove the protective mesh of the tweeter by prying it with a flat screwdriver (it only holds on the latches, see Fig.)
We remove the protective mesh of the tweeter
Next, you need to unscrew the fastening screw with a TORX T25 wrench. (the screw is at the bottom left of the tweeter itself). Then we begin to detach the entire base of the tweeter from the door. It is held by the latches under the door seal (rubber band). The latches can be picked up with a small screwdriver, slightly bending the rubber band of the seal. After disconnecting all the latches, you can disconnect the entire base of the tweeter (see fig.)
Detached the base of the buzzer
Next, take a thin flat screwdriver and insert it into the gap between the top and bottom of the armrest and lift the screwdriver up. The lower part of the armrest should “click off” (it is better to pry off gradually in different places, since there are several latches). Here's what it looks like:

Next, with a head of 8, we begin to unscrew 2 bolts that secure the skin (see Fig.)
Disconnect 2 connectors.
Next, with a thin flat screwdriver, carefully, without scratching the door trim, we try to pick up the plastic around the door handle (it is held by 3 latches). After the plastic has come out of the latches, it must be pulled out towards the base of the door.
Removing the plastic around the door handle
After that, we can proceed directly to detaching the trim from the door. It is better to start this from the lower left edge of the door (when looking at the trim). A small gap is formed there, into which you can insert a screwdriver and sequentially disconnect the caps on which the casing is held. The pistons detach with a distinctive sound (click). Some caps may remain not on the skin, but in the door, then they must be pulled out with pliers and inserted back into the skin.
Pistons remaining in the casing (as it should be)
Pistons in the doors, which must be pulled out with pliers and inserted into the trim
Good luck solving the problem! If you are having difficulty repairing another car, for example, a VAZ 21099 carburetor, then this review tellshow to repair a beginner if there are no suitable tools at hand.

Now you need to remove the door seal. Be very careful and careful not to repeat my mistakes and damage the staples.
Plowing
Yes, the latches on the second photo are very flimsy and fall off easily!
In general, thanks for the review, once again I easily disassembled the door on it)
great
Listen, the column in the left door does not work for me, because there is a separate insert for it, you can remove it without removing all the trim ???
TurboRacing
We'll have to remove all the trim. The speaker grid cannot be removed separately.
