Comparison test: Beta RR 125, Husqvarna TX 125, Sherco SE 125 Racing // Teenage Dreams

If two-stroke motocross engines are considered demanding to ride, then they enduro cars are much more comfortable for the driver and allow a safe adrenaline rush adventure. beta, Husqvarna in Shercowhich we tested are also great for all enduro beginners, even if you are already a full-fledged adult.

Beta RR 125: Italian special

The Tuscan manufacturer of enduro and trial bikes has complemented its wide range of enduro bikes with this enduro racing bike. They even have A 50 cubic foot race car that supposedly flies like a rocket, as our motocross racer and test driver Yaka Zavrshan confessed to us. But this time we will focus on a motorcycle designed for teenagers from 16 years old.

The equipment is solid and on par with larger bikes, with which Beta has enjoyed excellent competitive results in recent years at the Enduro World Championship, where they regularly win championship titles. The front and rear suspensions have been designed by ZF and are reliable in the conditions we encounter on enduro trails.

Comparison test: Beta RR 125, Husqvarna TX 125, Sherco SE 125 Racing // Teenage DreamsThe brakes, clutch and drivetrain work reliably and on par with good enduro racing bikes. A seat on a fairly tall motorcycle will also be very pleasant for taller people. He loves to get into corners, but he is best at medium speeds, when all the power of the engine, the most demanding of the three to handle, explodes. It needs to be constantly driven at high rpms because at low rpms or if you find yourself in a corner, the gear will be too high and he will be happy to "tire" or water him.

He is helped only by a low gear, and in some cases this is enough to "wake up" by lightly pressing the clutch lever. The power curve is very steep, when it hits the upper mid-revs and then becomes a real rocket, the power surge is really sudden and is in the hands of a rider who knows how to ride this narrow range of power and torque, it will be a very competitive bike.

However, in all competitions, this is the most affordable motorcycle, which also means something. We also learned that Beta is already preparing a 200cc motorcycle. based on this model, which may be of great interest to anyone looking for a lightweight and manoeuvrable extreme enduro bike.

Husqvarna TX 125: the most versatile, easiest to drive, but above all a racing car

Since it is a derivative of the KTM engine, the Husqvarna TX 125 allowed for racing use only and cannot be registered. Presumably, they are working to ensure that both KTM and Husqvarna will soon receive fuel injection, which must also meet environmental standards. No need to waste words on components and build quality. You will find only the best on it.

The brakes were from the German Magura, WP suspension, hydraulic clutch, and most importantly, everything works perfectly with the engine and transmission. Included in the package, the TX 125 is the easiest to operate and therefore very suitable entry-level model for all enduro sports enthusiasts.

Comparison test: Beta RR 125, Husqvarna TX 125, Sherco SE 125 Racing // Teenage DreamsThe engine grips well at low midrange and then, with a good power curve, also allows the less experienced driver to drive quickly. Doesn't tire the driver when climbing over difficult terrain. It has excellent cornering, canal tracking, and continuous acceleration to the ground as it accelerates, thanks to an excellent suspension that can also ride on a motocross track.

In terms of ergonomics, the Husqvarna is an all-size bike, the rider can move well, only the slightly wide rear end gets in the way a bit, which you get used to over time. Husqvarna is the only company to use composite instead of an aluminum subframe that supports the rear and seat. It also maintains ease of driving with minimal weight as it weighs without fuel. 92 kilograms.

Sherco 125 SE-R: French surprise

In short! This bike has surprised and is a great response to KTM and Husqvarna, which pose very serious problems in this class. Close-up of a blue racer in good lighting. Build quality and components are on par with the aforementioned competitors, and they don't seem to be looking for cheap compromises. This is also felt while driving.

The engine is powerful, responsive, and also allows the driver to make mistakes when you shift up a gear too high in a corner. All you need to do is push the clutch lightly and the power curve immediately rises and propels you forward. It should be noted that it follows the line very well and does not cause headaches when moving along the channels. The bike is perfectly balanced and very easy to handle, allowing you to literally play around corners or bumps.

Comparison test: Beta RR 125, Husqvarna TX 125, Sherco SE 125 Racing // Teenage DreamsThe gearbox is precise and works well with the engine, so the driver has no difficulty in choosing the right gear, thanks to the flexibility of the engine, it also allows a little lazy with the gearbox, as the clutch quickly fixes the malfunction. It is very compact in terms of size, it is closest to compact drivers and surprisingly enough room for taller drivers.

He was also being tested Marco Jaeger, which is considered a real "Savinsky cross", but he found himself perfectly on it. Suspension is made from WP (i.e. from a manufacturer that is under the auspices of KTM), namely the Xplor fork and shock WP 46. The wheels are made by Excel, and the hydraulic clutch and brake unit is Brembo. .

This is a great package if it doesn't smell like you're riding what most people drive in the 125cc class, so you're looking for something different. The price is high and on par with the quality of the entire motorcycle. Unfortunately, due to the small size of the manufacturer, the choice of additional aftermarket non-original spare parts is not so rich.

The motorcycle helps the driver to learn and progress, an engine that is atypical for this cubic class, which is impressive, undemanding and powerful, and most importantly, does not tire the driver. Suitable for both beginners and experienced riders who want the very best.

The most affordable motorcycle has an explosive engine that requires riding. Undoubtedly, it has potential, but it will be used primarily by installing a wider range of net engine power.
