So, today, 11.07.2017/XNUMX/XNUMX, Avtovaz officially announced the start of sales of the new Lada Vesta CNG modification, which is a hybrid. In fact, now the engine runs on both gasoline and natural gas - methane. For the consumer, this will mean the following:
- The first positive point is economy. For one kilometer of the way, now you have to pay 2-2,5 times less than for gasoline.
- Engine power will remain the same, and for a 1,6-liter engine it will be 106 horsepower.
- For those who are concerned about emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere - a definite plus - the reduction of these indicators.
- The resource of the engine on methane will be clearly higher than on gasoline
- There is one negative point - the increase in the cost of such a car. Now the minimum price for Lada Vesta CNG will start from 600 rubles, and this is taking into account the maximum benefit, that is, with all the discounts that are provided for by current promotions.
If your annual mileage by car is in the region of 20 thousand km, then it will be possible to recoup the costs of purchasing a Lada Vesta with a methane gas installation in a couple of years.
Considering gas-cylinder equipment as a source of increased danger, many are mistaken to say the least, since the cylinders are quite durable and the risk of a car catching fire, on the contrary, is higher on classic fuel - gasoline than in the CNG version. So far, Vesta is produced and sold only in the Sedan body, but in a couple of months the SW Cross station wagon will be ready for sale, which will also be equipped with gas equipment, in all likelihood.
