worth training

worth training Improving your driving technique is not an ordinary continuation of a driving course. It's not about learning how to park at the curb, but about how to own a car even in the most difficult conditions.

Just as you cannot learn to swim by watching Otilija Jedrzejczak perform, you cannot learn to drive efficiently and safely by reading only articles about Robert Kubica and watching Formula 1 reports. Training is the key to success.

You can, of course, arrange skill tests in empty parking lots or squares, but nothing can replace the advice of an experienced instructor and a professionally prepared track.

Getting the car out of a skid, pulsating braking or even the correct driving position are elements that many drivers have heard about in their driving courses, but more often than not have had the opportunity to test it “on their own skin”. . worth training

The only way out is to take a course in one of the schools for improving driving technique. Unfortunately, this comes at a cost (between PLN 250 and PLN 850), of course, unless you work for a company that sends its employees (most often company car users) to such training.

But it's still worth it, because first of all such courses are an investment in our safety, and in addition, we will learn to drive a car more efficiently and effectively.

Driving Engineering is not a typical driving school. They do not have cars with the letter "L" on the roof and most of the events are held on specially prepared, safe circuits. Training is usually carried out in students' cars, although some companies provide their own equipment for an additional fee (including Subaru Driving School, Skoda Auto School).

The main thing is that there are no exams. This is what life is about, what students then check, but many schools issue commemorative diplomas and certificates, sometimes autographed by a famous rider.

There are no textbooks in such schools either, because the lecturer is an instructor, and everything must be achieved through hard training. Often the instructors are former and current rally or racing drivers, incl. Krzysztof Holowczyc, Marcin Turski, Bartlomiej Banowski, Maciej Wisławski, who are also often co-authors of the training program.

- In Poland for the last 50 years, the system of driving schools practically did not exist. On the other hand, the driving course system is flourishing. The name difference is important because the driver's license holder knows little about proper driving. Over the years, he has improved the smoothness of the start and gear changes, so he considers himself an excellent driver. Meanwhile, at a really critical moment, paralyzed by fear, he cannot defend himself effectively,” says Vaclav Kostecki from the Subaru driving school.

In Poland, various schools have been operating for several years, the purpose of which is to teach drivers who already have a driver's license more complex elements to improve driving safety. All courses contain a theoretical part followed by a practical part. Some schools also organize road rescue and first aid courses. – The training methodology was based on the analysis of mistakes that drivers most often make. This, together with an analysis of the causes of the most common accidents and collisions, allows us to prepare a program exactly tailored to the needs and expectations of the client,” explains Zbigniew Veseli from Renault Driving School.

– Each level of practical training is preceded by a lecture conducted using the latest audiovisual techniques. The presented animations are visually preparing for the exercises at the autodrome. All this in order to help trained drivers eliminate incorrect reflexes as quickly as possible, teach them how to react correctly in critical, unforeseen situations and drive a vehicle on slippery surfaces. It’s also important to show that being aware of your own skills allows you to better adapt your behavior to the vehicle we drive and the road conditions,” Veseli adds.

By the way, however, it is worth paying attention to the fact that the very technique of driving a car is only one of many important factors that form a good and safe driver.worth training

Every driver must complete a driving course, no matter how long he has been driving. During a driving course, learning how to drive is far from enough, so it's worth learning at least the basics, such as the correct position and operation of the steering wheel, as well as the correct use of gas, clutch, brakes and gears. lever pedals. Such training is also a great lesson in humility, as most of our car users consider themselves perfect drivers and often overestimate their skills. Meanwhile, while driving with an instructor on a training track, it turns out that even at low speeds, he often cannot drive a vehicle.
