Test: Honda CB 650 F Hornet

But in this pleasant sense of the word, it will sting. Motorcyclists like to say in jargon that the motorcycle will sting well, swing or fly. But linguists should not be offended by us if we play a little with words. In short, the Honda CB 650 F Hornet is a brand new car that was introduced late last year and continues the successful story started back in 1998 with the Hornet 600, or rather the CB 600 F.

The motorcycle has a completely new design, like the brand new engine with a displacement of 649 cc. The inline four-cylinder engine develops 87 "horsepower" at 11 rpm and 63 Nm of torque at 8000 4,8 rpm. Of course, this is not data that dictates performance in supersport disciplines, but don't be fooled by the letters on paper. But that only happens when the driver really insists on accelerating, as the burst of power only starts at around 100 rpm. And this is good! Why? Because the rest of the engine is in harmony with the well-matched six-speed gearbox, above all, very well-groomed and undemanding to drive. He holds the course perfectly and remains calm even at a slightly increased pace. Therefore, it can be recommended as a motorcycle for everyday use, commuting and Sunday trips, and especially for anyone new to motorcycles. The mile-long employee Urosh has been open about his enthusiasm, which is exactly what we expect from a bike like this: he will be able to impress less experienced people and satisfy the needs of high mileage riders. At a consumption of 300 liters per 7.490 km, it is also a financially profitable steel horse. With a full tank of fuel, you will be able to drive a little over XNUMX kilometers, which is an important fact. With a price tag of XNUMX Euros for a model with excellent ABS, this is not one of the cheapest mid-range motorcycles, but it is definitely an honest buy that is a good compromise between usability, performance, quality and price.
