Spring tire change

Spring tire change Winter is over, and with it the streets are cold, snowy and slushy. It's time to replace winter tires with summer tires that will ensure safe driving and optimal performance in freezing temperatures, on dry and wet surfaces.

The division of tires into winter and summer is designed to ensure driving comfort and safety in various weather conditions. Manufacturers Spring tire changeTires have adopted the principle that the temperature limit, which conditionally separates the use of winter treads, is the average daily air temperature above 7 degrees Celsius. If the temperature at night stays above 1-2 degrees of heat for 4-6 weeks, it is worth equipping the car with summer tires designed for operation at positive temperatures, on dry and wet surfaces.

Summer tires

The right choice of tires determines not only driving comfort, but above all safety on the road. “Riding on winter tires at high air temperatures and warm asphalt is dangerous and unprofitable. During this time, you should have specially designed summer tires on your wheels,” says Artur Pochtovy, manager of ITR SA, which is a distributor of tires for the Japanese brand Yokohama. The very composition of the rubber compound with a large amount of rubber makes summer tires more rigid and resistant to summer wear. The tread pattern of a summer tire features fewer grooves and sipes, which gives the tire a larger dry contact area and better braking performance. Specially designed channels evacuate water and allow you to maintain control of the car on wet surfaces. Summer tires also provide lower rolling resistance, reducing fuel consumption while driving and making tires quieter.

How to read labels?

The choice of the optimal summer tires is facilitated by labels stuck on the products, informing about the most important parameters of the tires, such as: fuel consumption, grip on wet surfaces and the level of noise generated by the tire.

“Good wet grip means shorter braking distances. This guarantees driving safety, but does not go hand in hand with low rolling resistance, which translates into lower fuel consumption and economical operation. Users must decide for themselves which parameters are most important to them. Labels allow you to objectively check the parameters of tires from different manufacturers,” explains Artur Slonyushny.

The right tires mean the right size as well as the right speed and load capacity.
