Volkswagen Touran 2.0 TDI UN SCR Highline
Content
Okay, you might even call it a family class, but either way: with its 150-horsepower diesel (which, incidentally, is the mid-range choice in the Touran's diesel lineup), it does a great job on long journeys, while the mileage isn't too high. On our normal lap, it stopped at 5,1 liters, in reality it can be one and a half liters more, especially if you drive a lot on the highway.
But still: such a Turan is economical. What about the feeling in him? The seats are excellent, the rear three are separate, but narrow. Two adults are doing well, three are shaking their elbows a little. But regardless of the number of rear passengers, the feeling is very spacious here, which is facilitated not only by the large side windows, but also by the panoramic glass roof. Because of this, the air conditioner sometimes has to work overtime, but still: in this regard, the cab is much more comfortable than it could otherwise be, since the plastic is below the window level and all the seats are black. The family package from the list of accessories also includes tables in the front seats, which can be useful on long runs.
And, interestingly, the tables can be folded up and down. Since the air conditioner is three-zone, there is no problem with setting the appropriate temperature in the rear compartment - it can be controlled by rear or front passengers through the infotainment system screen. It was one of the best sides of the car in the test Touran. Not only because it has very good navigation (Discover Pro), but because it also supports connecting to Android and Apple mobile phones via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The first one does not officially work in Slovenia yet, but you can easily make sure that it works, the second one works right away without any problems. And to have these two systems (which, among other things, allow you to navigate the Google or Apple maps built into your phone), you don't even have to pay two thousandths for the Discover Pro. All you have to do is add a surcharge of € 300 to the standard Composition Media infotainment system and you'll have a car with navigation that works even better than Volkswagen's, as finding destinations just got faster and easier. Better to spend two on the Discover Pro system for the dual-clutch DSG gearbox. It really makes the Touran a great choice.
