The official presentation of the restyled modification of the first generation of the Volvo S90 sedan took place in early 2020. Compared to the pre-styling version, the changes in the exterior are not so noticeable, but they are still there. The geometry of the front foglights has been slightly corrected, there are decorative chrome stripes on the front bumper. At the stern, the shape of the lanterns has changed, and the holes for the exhaust pipe have disappeared in the bumper.

Standard petrol and diesel engines are offered for the 90 Volvo S2020 homologation model, but now they can be optionally equipped with a mild hybrid system.
