Another integral element of both the rear and front suspension is the spring. In addition to shock absorbers, it also provides a comfortable ride. In addition, the element prevents the car from tipping over when passing sharp turns. By its design, the spring is made of a steel rod twisted into a spiral. Reactive thrust

The stocking of the rear axle is fixed to the body of the "seven" by means of jet rods. The latter are present in the amount of five pieces - four longitudinal and one transverse (Panhard rod). Longitudinal rods prevent and prevent the displacement of the bridge back and forth, and the transverse rod eliminates displacement in the event of lateral loads. The rear suspension compression buffers are made of rubber, inserted into the body holes provided for them and located inside the springs. An additional bump stop is installed above the rear beam and fixed to the bottom of the car. Replacement of jet rods

The need to dismantle the rear axle rods arises when replacing the bushings or the rods themselves. The tools you will need are the same as for replacing shock absorbers, and the car is also installed in a pit. The process consists of the following steps:

  1. We tear off the nut of the upper fastening of the rod with a head and a knob by 19, holding the bolt from turning with a wrench of the same dimension, after which we unscrew the fasteners completely.

Rear suspension upgrade

Making changes to the design of the VAZ 2107 rear suspension can be caused by various considerations of the car owner - improvements for the purpose of participating in races or exhibitions, achieving a higher level of comfort, strengthening the mechanism for transporting goods, etc. This is achieved by installing suspension elements with other characteristics or making fundamental changes to its original design.

Reinforced springs

Electromagnetic suspension

Another option that allows you to improve the suspension of the VAZ "seven" is an electromagnetic suspension. This design is based on an electric motor, which has two modes of operation: damping and elastic element. The whole process is controlled by a microcontroller. As a result, an electric motor is used instead of a regular shock absorber. Electromagnetic suspension allows you to make the car softer, more stable, safer and more comfortable. A-arm
