Replacing the muffler on the Lada Priore

Silencer replacement is one of the procedures that every Lada Priora owner has to face sooner or later. Any metal is not eternal, and even more so, a thin tin of the exhaust system. Therefore, burnout every 50-70 thousand kilometers can be considered the norm. You can make a replacement with your own hands, using only:

• head 13
• ratchet or crank
• extension
• open-end or spanner wrench 13

The first step is to raise the rear of the car with a jack, namely its right side. Then we remove the back of the muffler from the rubber band that holds it suspended:

After that, using a ratchet head, unscrew the clamp tie nuts at the junction of the muffler with the resonator. In this case, it is necessary to hold the bolt with a regular wrench against turning:

Then you can move the muffler aside when the clamp is loosened enough and then finally remove it.

As a result, we get the following picture:

Installation is carried out in reverse order. You can buy a new muffler for Priora at a price of 1000 to 2000 rubles, depending on the quality of the metal and the manufacturer.
