Construction and maintenance of bicycles

Finish the fat bike snow assembly after receiving the Velobecane - Velobecane - Electric Bike package.

  1. Take the bike out of the box first.

  1. Remove the packaging from the bike.

  1. On the trunk at the back of the bike (where the pedals are) you will find the keys.

  1. Then reassemble the stem and secure it with a quick-release coupling.

  1. Several tools are required for assembly:

  • Wrench for 4, 5 and 6 mm wool.

  • 15mm open end wrench.

  • 13mm open end wrench.

  • Phillips screwdriver

  1. Let's start with the saddle adjustment: on the seatpost, the white line is the minimum limit for inserting the saddle. The dotted lines correspond to the maximum saddle height limit.

  1. Install the saddle as desired, then close it with the quick release lock. If the quick connector closes too easily, tighten the nut slightly, if the quick connector is difficult to close, loosen the nut slightly.

  1. Using a 13mm open end wrench, you can adjust the seat angle using the two nuts located under the seat.

  1. You can then adjust the tilt of the handlebars using the quick-release coupling located in the center of the handlebars * (same system as the saddle: if it is too easy to close, screw the nut at the bottom, if it is too difficult to close, unscrew the nut)

  1.  In addition, you can also adjust the height of the handlebars using the quick release mechanism * located on the stem (the maximum limit is indicated by the white dashed lines).

  1. Bend the stem, then fully tighten the screw with a 6mm wool wrench.

  1. On the front fork of your bike, you can adjust the suspension power with the little blue button.

  2. Now we move on to the stage of fixing the pedals. The pedal with the letter "R" (right) is screwed to the right in a clockwise direction. Pedal "L" (left) is screwed on the left counterclockwise. Tightening is carried out with a 15 mm open-end wrench.

  1. Screwing starts by hand and then ends with a wrench.

  1. Once the pedals are properly secured, let's move on to checking the screws for tightness.

  1. We start by checking the mudguards (front and rear) using a 5mm wrench, checking the top of the overhead bin, light, footrest and derailleur screw, then with a wrench. Wool 4, lower trunk, and mechanical disc brakes.

  1. Next, let's move on to inflating the wheels. There are two types of tires: sometimes 1.4 bars, sometimes 2 bars (you always need to check the type of tire on your wheel)

  1. The last step before starting the bike: register your bike in the V-protect system using the bike serial number stamped on the frame.

On the trunk you will find instructions and a charger for your e-bike.

You can charge the battery by leaving it on the bike or removing it.

There are three positions on your battery:

  • ON: battery included

  • OFF battery is off

  • To remove the battery: press and turn

When the battery is charging, a red diode on the charger indicates that the battery is charging and a green diode indicates that the battery is fully charged (nothing is on on the battery during charging)

There is an LCD screen on the steering wheel (press and hold the on / off button to turn it on).

You can adjust the electric assist with "+" and "-" (1 to 5), or turn it off completely by setting the speed to 0.

To the left of the screen is a battery level indicator, in the middle is the speed at which you are driving, and at the bottom of the screen is the total number of kilometers traveled.

For the lower part of the screen, several options are possible (by pressing the on / off button once):

  • ODO: corresponds to the total number of kilometers traveled.

  • TRIP: corresponds to the number of kilometers per day.

  • TIME: corresponds to the travel time in minutes.

  • W POWER: Corresponds to the power of the bike being used.

When you are driving at night, you have the option to turn on the LCD screen by holding the "+" button. To turn it off, you do exactly the same operation, i.e. hold down the "+" button.

When you hold down the "-" button, you get startup help.
