Windshield Washer Fluids

If in the summer we used a conventional windshield washer, then before the frosts, it is imperative to pour winter liquid into the windshield washer reservoirs.

Ordinary water does not dissolve fats and other substances that settle on the surface of cars along with rain and everything that falls from trees, plants, insects, etc. Then it literally “scratches” the wipers.

Therefore, it is best to have in sprayers a spray liquid similar to the one we use at home in a sprayer, because it is more effective. But you can add it to water and dilute it, so lower the freezing point, you can leave it in the condition in which we bought it. The choice of windshield washers is large and at different prices.

We know from practice that branded and, unfortunately, more expensive fluids behave better, and besides, this winter we have to take into account more frosts than usual. Looking through the range of such liquids (and you can buy them in supermarkets, specialized stores and gas stations), we noted about a dozen items.

How much is it

• A 5-liter container of Joker liquid up to minus 22 degrees C costs PLN 11,35, and aromatic, but without a name and only with the manufacturer's address, with temperatures up to minus 16 degrees C, in a container of the same size. , we buy for 5,99 zł.
• Produced in Poland for the Geanta chain, in a 5-liter container, does not freeze up to minus 17 degrees C, costs PLN 10,99, and for Adixol (-21 degrees C) - PLN 8,99.
• Castrol Biofix Classic, a 4-liter flavor to minus 22 degrees Celsius, costs PLN 18,99, while a similar-sized container with a BlueStar freezing point costs PLN 13,05.
• A liter container of the same company costs PLN 3,69, and a liter of Frost Shute costs PLN 2 less efficient.
• Winter leader The price of a liquid with a temperature of minus 22 degrees Celsius is only PLN 2,49 per liter bottle.
• Winter liquid BP, standing nearby at one of the gas stations, costs 2 zł in a 13,99-liter container, and at a similar temperature, i.e. 22 degrees Celsius, but in a 4-liter container, Castrol Biofix Premium, aromatic - PLN 29,99.
