11 Country Singers Who Drive Pretty Trucks (& 9 Dirty Trucks)

In the early years of country music, everyone in the scene was preoccupied with owning a Cadillac. But these days, the fashion for a stylish brand has been replaced by something more modest: pickup trucks. However, custom-made pickup trucks have become an extension of the suburban lifestyle. The image of the hard-working man who needs a big bed to haul things around has been around a few times, and Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, and Dodge have been pushing the idea of success with the hard work put into the pickup. .

Country music is the values and voice of the hardworking ordinary people. However, the roots of country music go deeper, as it is the folk music of our time, music that infuses strength and some introspection into our own lives. Country music has changed from era to era, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse, but I'm not here to teach you a country music history lesson!

All country stars have cars, and most have a truck or two. Some modify trucks the way they like, while others don't change anything. This list focuses on the tastes of country music stars and the histories of their pickups. From older stars like Alan Jackson and Charlie Daniels to some "young bucks" like Florida Georgia Line and Danielle Bradbury, these artists have some impressive trucks and some great stories to share. So, with that said, I hope you enjoy this list of 11 country artists who have good trucks and 9 that don't.

20 Nice: Tim McGraw's 1978 Jeep Wrangler CJ6

Our first Jeep! Actually, our only jeep. Star duo Tim McGraw and Faith Hill actually have a deep emotional connection to this old CJ. It was when Tim was borrowing a Jeep from a stagehand on his first headlining tour that he and Faith officially began a relationship that, of course, led to their wedding. Faith decided to track down this particular 1978 Jeep and buy it for their anniversary (according to Tim, Faith says it was his birthday). They ride it around their ranch every anniversary, and besides, Tim loves to ride it off-road, and it even has a photo of Faith and their daughter Maggie singing.

19 Nice: Alan Jackson's 1977 Ford Bronco

momentcar.com (not Alan's Bronco)

Alan Jackson's name is one of the most recognizable among music lovers (you don't even have to like country music, you need to know who he is).

Although few people know the man's history or his collection of classic cars, the old mechanic-turned-singer composes simple songs, but he has a decent garage filled with all sorts of knick-knacks.

A red 1977 Bronco is sure to stand out from all the chrome and muscle surrounding his garage. The Bronco was the first thing he bought as his career took off and made a very brief cameo appearance on Alan's song "Drive".

18 Nice: Jake Owen's Ford F-250 Diesel

I couldn't find as much information about Jake's big Ford as I would have liked. A People Magazine article about Jakes' growing family described the truck as "...raised as high as the one the singer drove his 2009 hit 'Eight Second Ride'". If this is true, I wouldn't know without a direct comparison, but the truck is definitely not stock. Raised high above the huge wheels and tires, it is also completely blacked out. This truck (pictured above) is huge and suits the country singer well, as I'm sure he likes off-road. With four doors, it would be fun for his growing family too.

17 Nice: Brad Paisley's 2014 Signature Edition 1500 Chevrolet

This "Signature Edition" Silverado is what Brad had a hand in developing with the Chevrolet team. It is slightly understated, with a custom paint job and a custom sound system. Custom logos on both doors give this SEMA truck its own personality. It must have been an amazing experience for Brad.

He's the evil Chevy guy (check out his 515 Corvette-inspired 1958-horsepower Prevost bus!), sings about them (see the opening of "Mud On The Tires"), and even his first car was a 2012 Chevy Cavalier.

While no one wants the Cavalier to be introduced to Chevy to build their own truck right now, I'd say it's a dream come true.

16 Nice: Hank Williams IIIs 2004 Ford E-350

It's certainly a weirdo since it's not a pickup truck, but it's too cool not to include on this list. Hank III got help from Essentially Off-Road in Tennessee to build this off-road van that also doubles as a tractor, allowing him to pack his gear and travel from show to show. The roof rack ensures that utility lines are out of the way and further opens up the interior. A lot of work has gone into the drivetrain in the E-350 itself to greatly improve ride quality and plenty of off-road capability for when Hank gets itchy or just in case this group gets too far in the woods.

15 Nice: Brian Kelly's Chevrolet Blazer

Bringarailer.com (not Brian Kelly's blazer)

Aside from his own Chevy Silverado (don't think I missed the trend), half of the Florida Georgia Line duo also own this classic Chevy Blazer. The only real thing I could find about it is a social media post by Brian Kelly. It is definitely raised and also with slightly larger wheels.

Silver and blue bicolor is a beautiful combination on this boxy case.

The convertible top was one of the main elements of the truck that disappeared with the next generation, I don't see it removed very often (if at all, given that winter rust is a burden of northern life). Either way, it's a burden. it's great to see a good Blazer appreciated and I hope to see more of this country star's truck.

14 Nice: 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 Kid Roca

Kid Rock may not be a country star anymore, but he is definitely a music star who has had a hand in country music more than once. The collection of stellar cars is huge and one of the latest additions is this beautiful white GMC. Like most of the Kid Rocks collection, this is definitely not stock. The Sierra is lifted high with fender flares and a layer of hood and bumper protection called "Stealth Coating" that complements a Whipple supercharger on top of the engine that boosted power to 557 horsepower! A closer look reveals custom Kid Rock-inspired embroidery on the seat headrest, as well as a Detroit Cowboy badge.

13 Nice: Miranda Lambert's 1955 Chevy 3100

One of the few girls on the list has the oldest truck on the list. This little blonde village beauty owns a classic working Chevrolet she has owned since she was 17. It was nicknamed Tammy after the Tammy Wynette tape she found in it when her father bought it for her. She's been holding onto a Cherry Red 55 pickup truck for years and her love for the truck is everlasting as she sang about it in her song "Automatic" and she also sometimes calls it the Winery Red 55. Like any other old truck it comes with its fair share of problems. According to an interview with Rolling Stone, "A/C is out, wipers don't work, and interior door handles have fallen off." When she's not in her new Silverado, she's most likely to be found in her '55 Chevy.

12 Nice: Jason Aldean's 1976 Ford Bronco

As much as country singers love their Chevy and Caddy, Luke Bryan (more on him later) gave Jason this beautifully restored Bronco to his best friend and fellow country musician, whom he toured with and who ended up helping him out. he became a household name among new country artists. Since then, Jason has modified the Bronco with a Georgia Bulldog-inspired red and black color scheme, stretching from the exterior to the interior seats, which also feature a jack and an ace on the backs. A symbol of one of the greatest friendships in country music today, what was once Aldean's dream truck is now a reality, and he has thanked Luke more than once for it.

11 Nice: Dirks Bentley's 1994 Chevrolet Silverado "Big White"

Country Music Center on Instagram

Having owned this truck for over 20 years, Dirks loves his old Chevy and affectionately named it Big White. His “longest and dearest friend” is his only truck that has a V8 (as every Chevy should) with a displacement of 5.7 liters. The truck has been through all sorts of challenges throughout its long life, from Dirks' early years when he first arrived in Nashville to the successful career he has built.

This truck makes me laugh a little as it has videos of it on Youtube that might seem a little dated today (the one I watched was filmed in March 2011).

He walks through his truck and it brings back memories to all who watch. Dirks may be famous and have more money now, but his truck is the same as always.

10 Nice: Chase Rice's 1985 Chevrolet Silverado

A fairly new singer compared to others on this list, Chase Rice is no stranger to cars as he is probably the only singer I've ever known who was on Hendrick's NASCAR pit crew.

This old Silverado is the first truck he ever bought.

His strong emotional connection to the truck is well explained in an interview with MotorTrend, where he stated, "I've never had that kind of connection when you get in it and you're like, 'Dude, this is mine. This will be mine until I die." I think that's a statement that we can all understand, and Chase's truck is just a testament to how we all feel as minders.

9 Not So Good: Luke Bryan's 2010 Chevy Silverado

Luke Bryan is a cool guy (to his friends at least, I mean the one he gave Jason Aldean) and one of Luke Bryan's personal trucks was a 2010 Chevy Silverado (similar to the image above) given to him by a Chevrolet dealer . in Nashville. Terribly beautiful gesture, but if it's the same truck in the photo, isn't that too gentle for a superstar like Luke Bryan? He may not be a big car lover and just loves the simple things, but this truck just doesn't seem like much of a big deal. After all, it's not the truck he had before he became famous, so no sentimental attachment, plus it's not even raised or tuned.

8 Not So Good: 2011 Ford F-150 King Ranch XNUMX Scotty McCreery

When Scotty turned 18, the American Idol winner received a 2011 Ford F-150 that had just left the dealership. I would imagine that this is an amazing gift for a young country singer, although he does not seem to have driven since then. Now I'm sure this might be wrong, but it seems like every photo I could find is of the same old Ford that has endured throughout McCreary's success. Apart from the initial marketing news about the truck, the news about it has disappeared and is now simply ignored. Who knows what he did with the Ford: did he sell it or keep it in the garage for occasional use when he's at home?

7 Not So Good: Easton Corbin's 2012 Ram 1500

Easton Corbin is definitely Ram's man, and just as Toby did for Ford, Easton did for Ram, including advertising and sponsoring his tours by Ram. Out of all this, they gave him a brand new Ram that looked almost unused when he auctioned it off a few years later (no less, at another Ram sponsored event). (Maybe he sold it to make up for lost money from the ticket he got after he got stopped doing 85 in the construction zone). I've seen faint glances at the new Ram he owns now, but no concrete evidence of his admission, which makes us think he prefers the new Corvette he recently bought.

6 Not So Good: Tyler Farr's '2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71

Tyler's Chevy looks like a replica of what the country singer's pickups should look like. Start with the very best options and the Altitude Edition. Then let Rocky Ridge put some of their magic on it, lifting it up with bigger rims and tires. The same old thing that I expect to see from any other country star makes this truck quite unmemorable. Rated Red has a Youtube video of Tyler showing off his truck (the coolest option being the safe under the back seat). But I believe the truck is running the way it is and Tyler has clearly put some money into it. do as he pleases, so that's all that really matters.

5 Not So Good: Thomas Rhett's Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71

Thomas Rhett's black Silverado is a nice truck (pictured above), but looking at it, I feel like I saw it in a nearby town for some reason. That doesn't mean it's a bad truck, it just isn't made in a unique way.

It's just darkened, raised, and most likely dirty.

Rhett's truck might be no different than any other rich kid who loves country music, although who knows what else he might end up doing with it? He doesn't talk about it, and the exact specifications of this truck are essentially a guessing game.

4 Not So Good: Daniel Bradbury's 2014 Ford F-150

Patriot Ford (versus Daniel)

The outdoorsy country singer bought this Ford in 2014 and added little things like a skid plate, lift kit and wider fender flares to it. Danielle told Taste Of Country that she likes "four wheels, trucks and a lot of other stuff that guys like." If so, then at least she wasn't following the GM trend that the country music genre is well known for. Since the original article was written five years ago, all I've been able to find since is a small article that talks about her having big plans for the truck, although it also says that she tends to fall out of it. .

3 Not So Good: Toby Keita's 2015 Ford F-350

It's no secret that Toby Keith loves his cars, from corporate ads to personal cars. With that said, you'd think he'd have an evil Ford with all sorts of quirks. But no, he owns a stock Ford that has exactly the combination of factory features he loves.

Toby Keith may not top the charts all that often these days, but his stake in the Big Dog record and his I Love This Bar and Grill restaurant chain keep the money flowing.

With that money, he has a beautiful house and some really cool cars in his collection, including a '34 Ford Cabriolet, but his pickup is as simple as it gets.

2 Not So Good: Charlie Daniels' 2016 Ram 1500

autoevolution.com (as ram Charlie)

Charlie is known to love his Chevrolets, so this aberration raises some questions. He received it as a gift from his wife when she asked him what gift he wanted. He's never had one before and got a little hint of it from his grandson who has one. “…I liked the look and feel of it and I just decided to give it a try,” he told MotorTrend. I thank this man who decided to explore different truck options and it turns out that the Ram ended up impressing him. He describes the truck as "a man's pickup". In a sea of Chevrolets, even the fairly standard Ram Charlie stands out from the crowd.

1 Not So Good: Tyler Hubbard's '2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71

Tyler and co-worker Brian Kelly own Chevrolet Silverados, which they bought on the same day they bought the car. Although they are not identical (Kelly's is black), Tyler is silver and has 35-inch tires.

Unlike his buddy Brian, I couldn't find anything interesting with Tyler, leaving him with this truck, which follows a long-standing recommendation for what a country singer should buy: a jaded, brand-new Chevrolet. with all the bells and whistles.

Bluetooth, Sirius XM and the Bose sound system are obviously included. The truck is good, and if he likes it, then okay, but why Silverado ?!
