14 Muscle Cars in Bill Goldberg's Garage (and 6 Other Cute Cars)

Bill Goldberg was one of the most popular professional wrestlers of the 1990s, serving as the main star and public face of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) at the height of the Monday Night Wars. Prior to that, he was actually a professional football player, playing for the Los Angeles Rams in his first year in 1990 and then for the Atlanta Falcons from 1992 to 1994. In 1995, he was selected by the new expansion team, the Carolina Panthers. but never played with them.

Following the closure of WCW in 2001, Goldberg became a one-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He returned 16 years later to WWE and is the only person to have won the WCW Heavyweight Championship, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and the WWE Universal Championship.

Behind the scenes, Goldberg is also a skilled mechanic, owning a plethora of muscle cars that any collector would envy. He loves to tinker with cars and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, and since his wrestling success, he can afford just about any car he sets his sights on. One of his cars was even featured on the cover of a magazine. Hot Rod magazine, and he had numerous interviews and video interviews regarding his collection. His impressive car collection dates back to the days when muscle cars were the talk of the town, and he treats his cars like they were his children. He also often repairs them himself or rebuilds them from scratch because many of these cars have sentimental value to him.

20 1965 Shelby Cobra Replica

This car could be the best in the collection of the former wrestler. This '65 Shelby Cobra is powered by a NASCAR engine and was built by Birdie Elliot, brother of NASCAR legend Bill Elliot.

Goldberg is also a NASCAR fan, so it only makes sense that he would use NASCAR legends to create cars.

Goldberg admits that he is annoyed by the small size of the driver's cab, and because of his large build, he can hardly fit into the car. The Cobra replica is painted black with chrome to match the paint and has an estimated value of $160,000.

19 1963 Dodge 330

The 63 Dodge 330 is made of aluminum, and Goldberg admitted it was a little odd to drive. It's a "push-button" automatic, meaning you have to lean over and press a button to change gear, which is kind of weird. Goldberg's Dodge 330 was featured on the cover of Hot Rod, where he talked a bit about the car. Even with the odd "push-button" shifting, Goldberg rated this car a 10 out of 10 in the article. In his own words, it's definitely one of Godlberg's most special cars. The car was only produced between 1962 and 1964, so not only is it special to Goldberg, it's also quite rare.

18 Shelby GT1967 500

While the Shelby Cobra replica in Goldberg's collection is one of his favorites, this 67 Shelby GT500 has the most sentimental value of any car in his garage. It was the first car that Goldberg bought when he became successful in WCW. Goldberg said he saw the GT500 when he was a kid from the back window of his parent's car.

That day, he promised himself that he would buy the same one when he was older, and, of course, he did.

The car was purchased from Steve Davis at a Barrett-Jackson car auction. The car is also valued at over $50,000, so it has some value beyond the sentimental value.

17 1970 Plymouth Barracuda

This 1970 Plymouth Barracuda was mostly used for racing before it ended up in the hands of a wrestler. This is Plymouth's third-generation car, and according to Goldberg, it should be in every muscle car enthusiast's collection. When it first came out, there were a variety of engines available, ranging from a 3.2-liter I6 to a 7.2-liter V8. The Goldberg has a 440ci with a 4 speed manual. It's not Goldberg's favorite car in his collection, but he thinks it shows off well and is worth nearly $66,000. Any true mechanic would probably agree that this late stage muscle car is pretty cool and worthy of being in anyone's collection.

16 1970 Boss 429 Mustang

The 1970 Boss 429 Mustang is one of the rarest and most popular muscle cars. This one was created to be the most powerful of them all, boasting a 7-litre V8 engine with over 600 hp. All of its components were made from forged steel and aluminium.

Due to insurance issues, among other things, Ford advertised this car as having lower horsepower, but this was mostly a lie.

These Mustangs left the factory untuned to make them road legal, and the owners tuned them up to get the most power possible. Goldberg thinks the value of this car is "off the charts" and it's true as the high retail estimate is around $379,000.

15 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty

The 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty is one of the few muscleless cars in Goldberg's collection, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have muscle. This truck is used on his daily commute and was given to him by Ford as a thank you for his military tour as part of a program run by Ford that gives servicemen the experience of driving their vehicles. Goldberg owns a lot of Fords, so he was kind of a good mascot because he was given this truck as a gift. He is also a very large man, so the F-250 is perfect for his size. Goldberg loves this truck and says it has a comfortable interior and plenty of power. He also said the size of the car made it difficult to drive.

14 1965 Dodge Coronet replica

Goldberg is a big proponent of making his car replicas as close to the original as possible. This 1965 Dodge Coronet replica is his pride in that regard as he tried to keep it looking fresh and authentic and did a great job.

The engine is a powerful classic Hemi V8, which provides the car with tremendous power.

Goldberg also converted the Coronet into a racing car when he bought it, and it was driven by famed race car driver Richard Schroeder in its heyday. By making the car as close to the original as possible, it truly exemplifies what a flawless replica should look like.

13 1969 Chevy Blazer

This '69 Chevy Blazer convertible is another car that stands out like a sore thumb in the Goldberg collection. According to him, he uses it for the sole purpose of going to the beach with his dogs and family. He likes the car because he can take everyone on the trip, even his family dogs, each of which weighs a whopping 100 pounds. The car is perfect for traveling with the family because it can fit all the necessary luggage and the huge family water cooler they take with them on warm days. The roof also drops down so you can enjoy it to the fullest.

12 1973 Super-Duty Pontiac Firebird Trans Am

Even though this car looks amazing, in his Hot Rod article, Goldberg rated his '73 Super-Duty Trans Am 7 out of 10 just because he doesn't like the color red. He said, "I think they made 152 of them, automatic, air-conditioned, Super-Duty - something like the last year of powerful engines." He added that it's an extremely rare car, but noted that you have to have the right color to make a rare car worthwhile, and painting the car is not kosher because the car's original value drops. Goldberg plans to either paint the car a color he likes and therefore not sell it, or just sell it as is. Either way, it should be a win-win for the former wrestler.

11 1970 Chevy Camaro Z28

The 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z 28 was a powerful race car of its day with great performance. It was powered by a heavily tuned LT1 engine with nearly 360 horsepower. The engine alone made Goldberg buy the car, and he gave it a 10 out of 10, stating, “This is a real racing car. He once competed in the Trans Am Series of the 70s. It's absolutely beautiful. It was restored by Bill Elliott" which you might recognize as a NASCAR legend. He also said: “He has a racing history. He raced at the Goodwood Festival. He's so cool, he's ready to race."

10 1959 Chevrolet Biscayne

The 1959 Chevy Biscayne is another car that Goldberg has always wanted. This car also has a long and important history. It was the main vehicle used by smugglers to transport moonshine from one place to another.

As soon as Goldberg saw this car, he knew he needed it.

The '59 Biscayne was up for auction when he spotted it, he said. Unfortunately, he forgot his checkbook at home that day. Luckily, a friend of his loaned him money to buy a car, so he got it, and it still sits in his garage as one of his favorite cars.

9 1966 Jaguar XK-E Series 1

The Jaguar XK-E, or E-Type, has been named the most beautiful car in the world by none other than Enzo Ferrari himself. This British sports car legend is not a muscle car per se, and it is also the only car owned by Goldberg that is not from the United States. This '66 XK-E convertible has an interesting history: It belonged to a friend of Goldberg's who offered Goldberg the car for $11. Needless to say, Goldberg couldn't pass up the opportunity to own a car that was named the best sports car of the 60s by Sports Car International and topped the Daily Telegraph's "1 Most Beautiful Cars" list.

This classic muscle car is liked by almost everyone who is not indifferent to the muscle car. Its presence speaks to its popularity ever since the car became popular in the Dukes of Hazzard films.

Goldberg feels the same about his blue charger as most muscle car fans do.

He says it's the right car for him, with the same qualities that represent Goldberg as a person. The Charger is powerful and this second generation model was powered by the same 318L V5.2 8ci engine as the first generation models from 1966 to 1967.

7 1968 Plymouth GTX

Like the 67 Shelby GT500 that Goldberg owns, this '68 Plymouth GTX has a lot of sentimental value to him. (He also owns two of them.) Along with the Shelby, this car was one of the first cars he ever bought. He has since sold the car and immediately regretted the decision. Goldberg searched tirelessly for the guy he sold his car to and finally found him and bought the car back. The only problem was that the car was handed over to him in parts, since the owner removed almost all the parts from the original. Goldberg bought another GTX just like the first one, except it was the hardtop version. He used this hardtop as a template so he knew how to assemble the original one.

6 1968 Dodge Dart Super Stock replica

This '68 Dodge Dart Super Stock replica is one of those rarities that was made by Dodge for one reason only: racing. Only 50 of these cars were built, making them extremely rare, and they were meant to be raced every week.

The car is lightweight due to the construction of aluminum parts, which makes it fast and agile.

Fenders, doors and other parts were made of aluminum, which allowed to reduce the precious weight as much as possible. Goldberg wanted a replica because of the car's rarity so he could drive it and not lose value. However, due to its schedule, it has only clocked 50 miles on the odometer since it was built.

5 1970 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air IV

Most of the muscle cars that Goldberg owns are not only valuable to him, but also rare. This '70 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air IV was no exception. It was purchased by Goldberg on eBay, of all places. It has a Ram Air III body, but the Ram Air IV engine is a 345 hp 400ci 6.6 liter V8 instead of a 335 hp V8. The rarity of this car continues until the components of the original are ruined, and Goldberg has remained true to his roots. He said: “The first car I ever tested was a 70 blue and blue Trans Am. It was so fast when I was testing it at the age of 16, my mom looked at me and said, "You will never buy this car." Well, he showed her, didn't he?

4 1968 Yenko Camaro

Goldberg has been fond of cars since childhood. Another car he always wanted when he was young was a '68 Yenko Camaro. He bought this car after he had been very successful in his career and it was very expensive because only seven of these cars were ever made. It was used as an everyday driving car by popular racing driver Don Yenko.

This "Super Camaro" started life as a super sports car with a 78 hp L375 engine that was eventually replaced (by Yenko) with a 450 hp version.

Don Yenko really liked the front grille, front fenders and tail end of this car. Although Goldberg owns one of the seven, in fact 64 of these cars were produced in two years, but less than half of them have survived to this day.

3 1967 Mercury Pickup

This '67 Mercury pickup truck is another vehicle that looks completely out of place in Goldberg's garage, but perhaps not as much as his Ford F-250. This is probably because it was made in the 60s, like many of his other cars. It's not very valuable in terms of money, but its value comes from its huge sentimental value to the former wrestler. This truck belonged to the family of Goldberg's wife. His wife learned to drive on her family farm, though it quickly rusted after 35 years of being left on the street. So Goldberg figured it out and said, “This was the most expensive '67 Mercury truck restoration you've ever seen. But it was done for a reason, because it meant so much to my father-in-law, my wife and her sister.”

2 1962 Ford Thunderbird

This car is no longer with Goldberg, but with his brother. This, of course, is also a beauty. Goldberg drove this classic car to school, and it used to belong to his grandmother, making it another car of great sentimental value to him.

It's not particularly rare, but the recovery is top notch.

The '62 Thunderbird engine produced almost 345 horsepower, but it was later discontinued due to engine problems - although no earlier than 78,011 of them were produced. Thunderbird is responsible for creating a segment of the market known as "personal luxury cars" and we can't think of a single car that better represents those three words.

1 1970 Pontiac GTO

The 1970 Pontiac GTO is a rare car that deserves to be in Goldberg's collection as a muscle car fan. However, there is something odd about this particular GTO as it came with multiple types of engines and transmissions. The high performance version produces almost 360 horsepower, but the transmission attached to it is only a 3-speed gearbox. Because of this, this car is something of a collectible. Goldberg said: “Who in their right mind would drive a three-speed manual transmission in such a powerful car? It just doesn't make any sense. I love the fact that it's so rare because it's just a wacky combination. I have never seen another three-stage. So it's pretty cool."
