15 Cars Only The World's Biggest Rock Stars Drive

If the 1960s taught us anything, it's that liberals can be just as aggressively violent as conservatives, and that man's existential struggle lies in the chords of the electric guitar. Whether it's Jimi Hendrix singing "Voodoo Child", Bob Dylan singing "Mr. Tambourine Man or Johnny Cash with Cocaine Blues, they all came with their own message and carried it like the melodic prophets they were. If you don't appreciate the power and soul of it all, then that makes you part of the system that these troubadours have rebelled against. While people sit and talk nicely about politics and who they should vote for, some great ones came out screaming over electric guitar and told us that the whole damn system is broken and ready to fight it. It was the high point of the 60s. Now the waves seem to have dissipated and humanity is now sailing through the depressive state of a soulless and materialistic period of selfishness called greed. This is the only question that few freedom fighters ask themselves: if they win the uprising, what will people do with all this freedom from a repressive system? Well, they have department stores, fast food, and plenty of gas to drive around until we need more oil. Then, well... you know what happens next.

But I digress. Let music remain aloof from politics and be just an anthem for humanity, forever seeking that green light of satisfaction and freedom that seems to elude all of us - fast cars, fast women, good drinks, good drugs and more. soul from the guitar. The question to ask yourself is: if you had everything you think you should have, what then? If you had every political and existential need that a person can hope for, then what would you do, my friends? The answer to this question is your passion and your art. Anyway, here are some of the greats with some of their great cars. Each of them changed the world in their own way, and each has great taste in cars.

15 Ozzy Osbourne's Audi R8

Sharon! Sharon! Get in the damn car! This woman is trying to get my autograph."

Who would have thought that The Wizard of Ozz would have a rather modest selection of cars? That's not to say this thing can't go off the rails with its 525 horsepower and 5.2-liter V10 engine. The godfather of heavy metal and, of course, Sharon could be seen in Malibu, California in this modest but elegant German-made car. Maybe a quiet, simple life is what the Prince of Darkness wants now. Maybe this is what he wanted all along, but only now, at an older age, has he put his demons to rest forever. God Bless, Ozzy. May you find solace in your golden years and find happiness in the simple things of life like shopping with Mrs. Osborne.

14 Driving moves like Jagger

1966 was an incredibly turbulent moment in American history. While the Viet Cong exchanged fire with American soldiers outside of Saigon, Mississippi highway patrols dispersed black demonstrators with tear gas, and the Soviet Union won the space race. Napalm was the smell of death in Indochina, Jim Crow was the same smell in the south. America burned, and in the chaos and destruction rose many supernatural and infamous people whom history will never forget. In the midst of all this was a new group they called The Rolling Stones.

They were right in front of you and they didn't care how you felt about what they were saying or who they were talking about. Songs such as "Brown Sugar" emphasized the sensual allure of black women, "Gimme Shelter" explained that war is nothing but rape, and murder begins with a gunshot. Mick Jagger seemed to enjoy the recently launched James Bond franchise in England. Who can blame him? James was more than just courteous and bold; he put an end to the bad guys, and in 1966 we all really, really needed it.

13 Keith Richards "Angie"

Keith Richards is known as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. He and Jagger founded The Rolling Stones and have been making music for over 5 years since then. More recently, he has been known for his appearance in Pirates of the Caribbean as Captain Teague. Of course, he would like to play a pirate, since the man drank Jack Daniels as a tonic. His statement is known: “I have never had problems with drugs. I had problems with the police." Richards' 66rd-year Bentley S3 Continental may be a combination of his gritty personality, but nonetheless shows that the old guitarist has particularly refined taste.

12 Eric Clapton's Ferrari Special

If you're Eric "Slow Hand" Clapton, you can do whatever you want. This includes Ferrari making your own custom model for you. The SP12 EC (Special Project-Eric Clapton) is based on the 458 Italia but has influence from the 1970s B12 BB reportedly Clapton's favourite. It had a 4.5-liter V8, standard for Italia, which was very different from the B12 12-cylinder boxer engine. You can imagine Eric driving down the road listening to him sing "Wonderful Tonight" and admiring this one of a kind car. Layla may have brought him to his knees, but with this machine, Eric no longer sheds tears for her. Long live the man who used blues and reggae in his musical legacy.

11 Paige Turner Seguera

Bob Seger drives a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach. Apparently he still likes that old rock 'n' roll. For you kids, that was the person who originally wrote Turn the Page, not Metallica! Ironically, he also sang "Like a Rock" in '1, which was used in Chevy truck commercials for years. No Chevy for this man. This 86 liter 5.8 cubic inch Windsor V351 engine boasts 8 hp. Somewhere out there, the master of rock 'n' roll is working on his night shifts in a sleek black and green striped Mustang with a rock-like engine and driver.

10 Janis Joplin's "White Rabbit" went psychedelic

This 1965c Porsche 356 Cabriolet has always been one of a kind, just like its owner Janis Joplin. She reportedly paid Dave Roberts (one of her roadies) to customize it the way it is. The car has an interesting history; it was stolen and painted gray to hide its distinctive appearance, then restored and fell into disrepair. This car is currently on loan from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to the Joplin family. If you want to know what was the inspiration for all the works, all I can tell you is to ask Alice...

9 Robert Plant's staircase to heaven

Another British rock and roll legend on the list who seems to have an affinity for 007 is Robert Plant. This 65-year-old Aston Martin DB5 was definitely all the rage at the time and won the love of a handful after the British Invasion. For the man who sang about the woman who bought the stairway to heaven, it seems like he bought his own. This was, of course, before his journey to the east, where he discovered self-realization. Songs like "Kashmir" came later, when the principles of Indian philosophy surpassed the music of Led Zeppelin. Rumor has it that Led Zeppelin got their name when Paul McCartney said, "This band will fall apart faster than Led Zeppelin." I think he swallowed those words.

8 Johnny Cash and his black (of course) Mercedes

Who knew the man in black bought a Mercedes 560 SEL back in the early 90s? Well, he did, and just 4 years ago, he was finally auctioned off. As much as Cash was known for his black 1970s Cadillac Fleetwood, he apparently developed a soft spot for German motors in later years - a good choice for a trip abroad, actually. With an 8-cylinder diesel engine producing almost 240 horsepower, it's a bit more powerful than the Cadillacs of the time, and you don't have to add engine oil once a month. Rest in peace Johnny and I hope whoever bought this item wears black most of the time at least.

7 Bob Marley "One Love"

If you don't know who Bob Marley is or are unfamiliar with his music, it's safe to assume that you support far-right politicians and probably still think we shouldn't have left Vietnam. From a small island country of no more than 4,000 square miles, a man gave the world a strong political message that continues to resonate in smoky college dorms. It was his 1976 Land Rover Series 3. Recognizing that British colonialism left behind some cultural elements that are still dear to many, is that this British-made SUV has a very modest 70 hp. and does it with just 4 cylinders - a modest car for a modest person. Mr. Marley is gone, but no woman, no crying - his message still lives on...

6 Bruce Springsteen's Little Black Corvette

Via Corvetteblogger.com

The boss drives a Corvette, a 1960 Corvette. Well, he did it before he got to this museum. For a man who sang about being born in a country where you are forced to kill a yellow man, he drove with 4.6 liters and 275 hp. For those of you who don't know, this man received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Barack Obama in 2016. Anyone who knows some of his lyrics by heart will understand why this is so. He sang of an America that went against its ideals in its foreign actions and took advantage of the poor working class to do so. Move on Boss, but I'm sure at the time of this writing you've already moved to Mexico and are disillusioned with what they call hope.

In 1969 in Woodstock, New York, Jimi Hendrix's Stratocaster could be heard by many people shouting out his version of the "Stars and Stripes Banner". If you don't know too much about Jimmy, he was probably the most talented guitar player that ever lived. Rolling Stone Magazine said just a few years ago with a top 100 countdown. He was the only one of his kind and stayed on this Earth for a very short time to give us his gift. A cult member of the infamous 27 Club, he died at a young age from an apparent drug overdose. No wonder the man who revolutionized music and continues to do so to this day drove a 1968 Corvette. With 350 horses under the bonnet of a monster V8, Jimi had no problem being a road kid.

4 Eleanor Jim Morrison

The Lizard King rode a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500. Yes, that car we always talk about. 662 hp, 5.8 L V8. This car is the definition of sexy. This iconic car has just recently become popular again in a remake. Leave in sixty seconds with Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie. In the movie, you see exactly what 662 hp is capable of. The lead singer of The Doors, also a member of the 27 Club, took blues, rock and roll and the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche and created a one-of-a-kind musical legacy. No one seems to know exactly what happened to the car after it had an accident in 1969. Many reports say that Jim was freaking cool with the thing, mowed down trees at the police station, and even once fled the scene of an accident and made a phone call. the car looks like it was stolen.

3 Brian Johnson back in Black Ghost

Any AC/DC fan knows the story of Brian Johnson becoming the band's lead singer. When Bon Scott died of alcohol intoxication in 1980, Brian Johnson took over as lead singer with a voice so similar to Johnson's that some people, unaware, didn't even notice the change. Brian Johnson was in a sad situation, and many fans were against even trying to accept a new lead singer. The man made a lasting impression and, for the most part, continued the legacy of AC/DC. He has a 2010 Rolls-Royce Phantom. All Black. Why did he buy it? He claims that as a child, it was considered the most unattainable vehicle, so when he got the ability, he did just that.

2 David Bowie's 1981 Volvo

Who would have thought that the legendary David Bowie owns Volvo's first luxury car, the Volvo 262C? Pretty modest car for a very complex and eccentric god of rock. The career of this man lasted almost 6 decades, perhaps that is why Tumbleweed gave him the title of "The Greatest Rock Star of All Time". On January 10, 2016, the world lost one of the greatest musicians who ever lived. He died a few weeks after recording his last album, Black Star, which his manager said was meant to be a farewell to his fans. His Volvo offered neither great power nor extreme luxury, but for Bowie's pure admiration, this car deserves my high praise.

1 Bad Karma Carlos Santana

Via Libertaddigital.com

In 2012, Carlos Santana crashed his new Fisker Karma. What is Fisker Karma, you ask? This is a Finnish luxury hybrid car manufactured by Fisker Automotive. Only about 1,600 were sold in the US, and reports of battery fires created enough problems that the company went bankrupt in 2013. This car had an impressive 403 hp. petrol. They cost a little over a hundred thousand dollars. The car makes a sound at speeds less than 25 miles per hour to warn pedestrians of its approach. 52 mpg is impressive too - just keep your eyes on the road.
