The Chinese have been eyeing fashionable sporty SUVs for a long time, and the 2021 Grand Prix-winning athlete and handsome Tugella deservedly made it to China's 2022 car rankings. It's closer to the premium class in materials, trim and functionality , but it also costs more - at the beginning of the year it was offered for about 3 million rubles.

The Tugella is a mid-size SUV based on the Volvo platform. It does not have a choice of engine depending on the configuration - only 2 liters and 238 hp. It will have all-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic gearbox, and will accelerate to 100 km in 6,9 seconds. Even the basic equipment is good - a panoramic roof, LED optics, adaptive cruise control, a set of security systems. In addition, the smart car can even read traffic signs.

Full premium equipment boasts a leather interior with seat ventilation. In general, the experiment with “as if premium” can be called successful - Tugella will surely become one of the best Chinese cars on the Russian market.

The most anticipated Chinese cars of 2022 in Russia

Monjaro

Recently, Geely has been certified in Russia for its flagship SUV, named Monjaro in our country. The new model shares the same platform as the Geely: Tugella, although the Monjaro will be bulkier with a five-seat interior.

The engine will be the same for all variants - a two-liter turbocharged 238 hp. The gearbox will be an automatic eight, only four-wheel drive.

Unlike the Chinese version, the Russian version will do without front-wheel drive and a robotic gearbox. But the interior is simply magnificent - stylish, elegant, with a huge multimedia panel. However, COVID-19 and the shortage of microprocessors caused by it made it impossible here too - due to their shortage, LED headlights may appear with limited functionality.

In Russia, this powerful SUV is eagerly awaited - although Haval has not yet officially announced its launch. Firstly, the Chinese are already certified for Russia, and secondly, the company's plant in the Tula region is reportedly already producing the first cars.
