15 Disgusting Cars Tim Allen Has Owned Over the Years

Tim Allen began his career as a stand-up comedian in the early 1980s. It wasn't until 1991 that Tim began to play the most important role of his life, playing "The Toolkit" Tim Taylor on a TV show. Interior Design. Shortly after the premiere of his show, he starred in Santa Claus, which only further propelled Allen to fame and notoriety. He is currently filming his own TV show. Last Hero, and has been a regular voice actor for Pixar-Disney.

Tim Allen's personal life hasn't been covered in the papers for the most part, but the part of his personality that he's not shy about is his enthusiasm for cars. Tim is well known for his car collection, which has more old cars than new ones. That's because, as Tim put it, "I'm old!" Tim also had big corporations building cars for him, a couple of which come to mind like the Cadillac Deville DTSi and the Saleen Windstar, both of which we'll look at shortly. Tim is also currently building a custom hot rod named Victor, whose build status you can check on his online video streaming channel.

We hope you enjoy this short list of 15 cars that are famous Interior Design the star that Tim Allen has owned throughout his long career.

15 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon

Why wouldn't a man who loves power, muscle cars and has the money to buy one of the most powerful muscle cars of the decade do it? Tim took the keys to the very first demon back in May 2018 and we are sure he has enjoyed every minute of it since then. While we couldn't find much information or photos of Tim with the Demon after receiving it, the 2.3-second 0-60 is by far the fastest car he owns, even faster than the custom COPO Camaro he built himself. with a little help from the crew. The Demon is a very welcome addition to his collection of classic cars, as the Demon itself is sure to become a classic for generations to come.

14 1968 Chevrolet Camaro 427 Cup

via GenerationHighOutput

This car was inspired by a combination of friend Tim Allen's 327 Camaro, Smokey Yunick's Trans-Am Camaro and his interest in the 427 COPO Camaros that were coming out at the time. With so much old-school inspiration and a few modern conveniences to ensure ease of maintenance and enjoyment for years to come, the engine is a modern 427 Corvette 2013 rather than the carbureted 427 that has become so popular. -After builders and assemblers. This custom Camaro looks like it rolled off the showroom floor yesterday, with all the muscle intact. You can learn more about this Camaro at Jay Leno's garage.

13 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air 409

Does anyone else have The Beach Boys ringing in their ears? Only me? Well, anyway, Tim believes in this car. The 409 Bel Air is a fine example of early muscle cars, standing out from the crowd with its bright red paint job. Not only Allen's love, 409s were also some of the fastest cars of the era before muscle cars really took off, often finding their home on the drag strip with the likes of Dave Strickler and "Grump" Jenkins at the wheel. Tim's Bel Air may not be as fast as those race-trained stars, but with a four-speed hooked up to a truck engine, it's sure to deliver two tons of fun.

12 1932 Ford Moal Roadster "Lacorice Streak Special"

Starting with a 1932 Ford, Allen commissioned Moal Coachbuilders to build his project, and the result was nothing short of amazing. He owned the car for a while before it was sold on eBay in 2010. The ad said that not a dime was spent on the creation of this car, and that its replica would easily cost half a million dollars. The Licorice Streak is powered by a 351 SVO engine with GT40 heads giving the car around 400 horsepower, all powered by a five-speed T-5 gearbox. The car was in various magazines and belonged to Tim for a long time before he sold it.

11 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS "Binford 6100"

The latest Impala SS, one of the cars built for Tim, looked ugly outside the showroom. However, Tim's Impala is a bit angrier as it is powered by the 6.3-liter 32-valve LT5 engine from the ZR1 Corvette. With over 450 horsepower, the car is quick off the track and never misses a gear with the bespoke automatic transmission. Tim claims that the car was fast in its day and is still very powerful in today's voracious automotive world. It was introduced to Tim after the SEMA show, and Tim filmed a short video showing the car's interior and engine bay. In addition, he put on a small demonstration of the Impala's substantial power output that any muscular man could get a smile from watching.

10 1986 Ford RS200

via RMSothebys (as in Tim)

The Ford RS200 is a masterpiece of the company's engineering, and while it fits into Tim Allen's US-built collection, it stands out from the rest as it's the only model built for off-road racing. The story he tells about the car is that he once drove it to a film set. Interior Design and was stopped by the police. The cop said he could just take it as it's not DOT certified. We can assume he didn't, but after that, Tim didn't drive the car in public for a while, which is a shame as it's one of the coolest cars ever made.

9 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

via Forums.AACA (like Tim's)

One small departure from Tim Allen's all-American image is this beautiful Karmann Ghia. Tim explains that this Karmann Ghia is what you get when you mix a 1957 Porsche with a 1971 Volkswagen. The little Ghia coupe doesn't look much different on the outside, but instead, I'm sure Porsche features are tastefully hidden throughout the interior as well as under the hood. This neat piece of Volkswagen history sits beautifully in a garage full of classic cars, which also has an equally beautiful Volkswagen Beetle that looks as cool as it sounds (with a 200-horsepower engine hidden behind the seats).

8 1996 Saleen Windstar

Salin made some odd Fords, especially in the 1990s. Where today they mostly stick to F-150s and Mustangs, in the 1990s Saleen produced Explorers, Rangers and apparently at least one Windstar minivan. This is the only one and he served only as a prototype for a plan that failed. Since they couldn't build it, they gave the only one to Tim, who helped design it. He has since disposed of this one-of-a-kind minivan, last sold in 2011 at a Mecum auction in Kissimmee. Ever since it was sold, the Saleen seems to have fallen out of the public eye, and it likely will stay that way, given how out of place the van is - at least until it's back on the market.

7 1946 Ford Convertible

via Blog.MyClassicGarage

To everyone who saw Interior Design knows about this Ford because he was seen throughout the show while Tim Taylor was restoring it. On the show, Taylor bought it from a friend (played by another famous car lover, Jay Leno) and continued working on the car in the garage across from the kitchen for the next few seasons until he finished it. Allen actually owns this car and has taken it apart and taken it apart many times during the filming of the show. Now the car sits among others in the garage, and I'm sure that from time to time he takes it to events related to the TV show 20 years ago.

6 1955 Chevrolet Nomad

via StreetsideClassic on Youtube

This is another car that you would easily recognize if you were a fan. The household, although in the series this beautiful nomad was crushed by a steel beam. However, in real life, the Nomad survives and has changed hands several times since Tim sold it in 2001 on eBay. The Nomad is basically original, with a traditional 350 engine under the hood and a 350 Turbo automatic transmission. You can find a video of the car on the MyHotRodTV channel showing the car in its current state, as perfect as it was when it was filmed in the famous TV show.

5 Jaguar XKE

via E-TypeCenter (as in Tim)

The Jaguar XKE is one of (if not the most) beautiful cars ever made, and it takes its rightful place in Tim's garage, which is mostly filled with American-made steel. While the car has been criticized for simply being seen in it when he was a Chevrolet spokesperson, no one can deny that Tim's slight deviation from form is bad anyway. The Jaguar is still the cornerstone of any collection, so it makes sense to be part of Tim's collection, which has very few foreign cars.

4 1955 Ford "Triple Nickel"

Another car commissioned by Moal Coachbuilders, this 1955 Ford wasn't just built for show. The supercharged 5.4-liter Ford GT engine tucked under the hood definitely gives the car plenty of show room. To help with airflow, a custom Thunderbird-style air intake was added along with vents that replaced the old turn signals. The secrets of this car lie in the details, as the overall look is very modest, especially for a car that, when properly tuned, can produce 850 horsepower. This 1955 coupe is another great example of the cars Tim wears in his collection - tasteful on the outside and powerful on the inside.

3 1956 Ford F100

via EngineeredAutomotive on Youtube

This crazy 1956 Ford F100 Hemi engine is tastefully decorated. According to Hot Rod Magazine, this truck breaks Tim's own restrictions on his hot rods, but he still loves it. Tim bought the truck when it went up for auction in Barrett-Jackson. He ended up buying a $78,300 truck that even Tim couldn't refuse. Tim didn't spend much time behind the wheel - other than pulling out of the garage and hitting the gas pedal a few times, which subsequently set off all the car alarms in the vicinity - we'd say he wouldn't be able to drive this very much without police digging.

2 2004 Porsche Carrera GT

The Carrera GT, one of 604 delivered in the US, is said to be one of the few supercars he has ever owned. With 605 horsepower and almost no gears, the Carrera GT is often called the last true supercar and perhaps the best since the Ferrari F40. While the car can be quite extreme, it served as Tim Allen's daily driver for about a year after he bought it. He claims this car is "undoubtedly the hardest to drive" in his entire collection! He bought the car new in 2004 and owned it until last year when he sold it for $715,000 - most likely to buy the Ford GT we mentioned earlier.

1 Ford GT 2016

One of the few new cars owned by Tim Allen, the GT is considered Ford's newest and most advanced vehicle to date. Of course, such a magnificent car is produced in a limited number, and Ford produces only 250 of these cars a year. So, of course, Tim Allen has a beautiful silver specimen of a rare beast that he enjoys showing off in a video he posted on his channel. In another video we found, a car full of guys spotted Tim Allen in his GT, and while you couldn't see it, you could hear the twin-turbo V6 stretching its legs a bit as it went down the road.
